Our linocut printmaking workshops based in Copenhagen will provide all the tricks to get you started on your introduction to basic print techniques . Printmaking is a fun way to create images that can be used as poster art, t-shirt & fabric designs, propaganda prints, or limited edition fine art prints. It's great for handmade gifts or extravagant hate messages.
I will guide you through all the steps to make some rather impressive prints. Within the day we should have drawn out, carved and inked up your linoleum which will be transferred to paper.
Materials will be provided for.
3 or 4 prints at the end of the day without chopping up your fingers is the aim, and a rather realistic one. We do use cutting tools, but with a bit of common sense, it's easy to avoid self mutilation. Guests will get to take the carved block home so you can make as many prints as they like with very few tools required. Christmas and birthday presents are sorted for everyone.
As a precaution to COVID-19, I will have a mask and can provide hand sanitiser, and will keep guests at a safe distance. We will just use our common sense and make sure you still get a great experience.
Guests should also be prepared that the prints might need to dry overnight. Post can be arranged but is expensive. Sometimes we have dried them with a heat gun, and a hairdryer or a sunny day would also do the trick.

Under the name of Henry the Rabbit there have been a whole bunch of exhibitions and workshops in and around Copenhagen. The Rabbit name corresponds to a music project that goes under the same name.
My actual name is Craig which is less exotic, but you can choose which name to use. Free spirited, and attempting always and forever to live the dream. I very much look forward to meeting and introducing you to a wonderful and somewhat addictive pastime.

The workshops will take place either at Blaa Galleri in the heart of Nørrebro (North district) or PETROL's (excellent cafe) side room in Vesterbro. Both are fantastic spaces with access to washrooms, and both connected to places for food and beverages, smokes, beers or your poison of choice. If these places are having events, we can it to my place next to Hvidovre Station (a short train ride from the centre).

Really great experience that was fun, easy to do and had immediate results. Craig was very helpful and personable at the same time. The location was super central and clean. The class size was small and intimate, so if you needed help it was available.

Please don’t hesitate in doing this experience. It’s brilliant! You will gain an amazing amount of knowledge about this creative and cathartic form of art. Craig provided a superb learning experience without me feeling like I can’t do it. His knowledge on the topic is extensive and print evidence on display at the gallery is testament to that.
You’ll even surprise yourself at what you create. I’m inspired to do more Lino cut as a result of coming to this class.

Et virkelig godt og anderledes tilbud til Københavns turister. 2,5 times kreativitet og fordybelse uanset hvad talent og erfaring, man har forinden. Craig Martin havde selv lavet nogle ekstremt flotte kunsteriske arbejder i linoliumstryk med flere farver. Han kan virkelig sit kram.

An excellent experience! Craig was so helpful, knowledgable and kind. His passion for this medium is infectious and he was so invested in our prints. This was a really special experience for beginners or people who have done Lino cutting when they were younger and want to have another go. Highly recommended!
