Big South Fork National Recreation Area, Pickett State Park, Historic Rugby, Muddy Pond, and Sgt. Alvin C. York's Museum and Burial Place are all within 30 minutes.

Conveniently located just off Hwy 52 only 5 minutes from the center of Allardt, the Carpenter’s Cabin is cozy and comfortable with all the amenities you need for a stay in the country. A large yard and wrap-around porch complete with rocking chairs and swing, give you space to spread out, as well as a place to sit and watch traffic go by. The Carpenter’s Cabin is a 5-20 min drive to Big South Fork, Pickett State Park, Allardt Pumpkin Festival, 127 Yard Sale, FP Truck Fest, and Sgt York Park.

The cabin is one steep mile back from Muddy Pond Road, where you can access the local Mennonite community and enjoy unique stores and leather shops. Welcome!

Poplar Cove Retreat is a nature lover's paradise! Whether your interest is flowers, trees, birds, or rocks, you'll find it all in abundance. The house is located on our 80+ acre family farm where black angus cattle also reside. You may also spot deer, turkeys, and other wildlife. There are numerous bird feeders so you can enjoy birdwatching from several outdoor seating areas. This little tree house is primitive with no electricity and no water but has a bath house nearby. This is tent camping in a tree house. Located behind the historic R.M. Brooks Store, it is the perfect place to find peace and beauty . Perfect for hikers. Rest in the huge branches of this nearly 100 year old Oak Tree. A Queen bed awaits you for your restful nights sleep. Underneath you can picnic at the table or swing in the swing that hangs below. This is the perfect place to unplug.

We've provided a picnic table so you can enjoy the creek. 4 security cameras are outside of the home. 1 at the front door. 1 on the side of the house and 2 in back. NO SMOKING OR VAPING in the home Your reservation MUST accurately reflect how many guests are staying in the home!!! $25 FEE for cans, trash or anything other than wood left in the fire pit.

Located in the backyard of the Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area, in Allardt at the corner of Hwys. 296 and 52, The Old Allardt Schoolhouse, circa 1910, has been restored for your lodging pleasure. The schoolhouse features two bedrooms and two baths furnished in elegant antiques, fully equipped kitchen, central heat and air, high speed DSL internet, fireplace, as well as front and back porches complete with rocking chairs to help rock your cares away.
