At only 1 mile from the Pinnacle Creek System Connector to the Hatfield McCoy Trails, our cabin is an ideal destination for all riders in the ATV friendly town of Mullens. Pinnacle Creek is one of the most scenic the HMT has, connecting to Indian Ridge, Pocahontas, & Warrior. Still not enough? The outlaws are less than 5 miles from our cabin. Get lost. Perched at 2,543 ft atop our 66-acre Appalachian farm, this private retreat offers sweeping views, peaceful surroundings, unforgettable sunsets, and nights under a sky full of stars. If you’re looking for peace & privacy, yet a short 5 minute drive to restaurants and shopping, look no further than HH. Our cabin is just off I-77. Centrally located, it’s a short drive to Winterplace Ski Resort, WV’s 1st Mountain Coaster & PuttPutt at Brush Creek Falls, HMT, Pipestem, New and Bluestone Rivers. EV charging station 1/2 mile, Camp Creek. A couple’s get away, traveling for bus, or family vacay, our cabin is perfect. We strive to make every guest as comfortable as possible!

Great Escape Lodging is conveniently located in Black Eagle, which is right outside of Mullens city limits, and just 3 miles from the newly constructed Coalfield Expressway. Hatfield & McCoy and Outlaw trails are just a few miles away with no trailering required through the ATV friendly town of Mullens. Parking is more than plentiful for several vehicles, ATV's and trailers. An added bonus is an on-site carwash, and gas, grocery and restaurants less than a mile away!

Cozy Farm Cottage with a View 3.3 MILES OFF I-77

Come enjoy quiet seclusion on a 210 acre farm located 5 miles from Winterplace ski resort and Weathered Grounds Brewery and only 3 miles off the Ghent exit! Self check-in on a private half mile long road. Feed the fish with two ponds full of blue gill, coy, bass and catfish. Hike or mountain bike on miles of trails throughout the property! Then come drink hot chocolate next to the fireplace, or have a glass of wine while watching the sunset on the covered porch!

The Hidden Gem

Out in the country but close to everything. 2 miles off of I-77, 1 1/2 miles off of US 19. 20 minutes or less to NRG, Summit Bechtel Reserve & Burning Rock. 3 miles to Prosperity dirt track. Rafting, kayaking, hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing & rapelling are all near by. Skiing and tubing at Winterplace is 25 minutes via I 77 S. Plenty of parking for vehicles & trailers. Pets welcome inside up to 25 lbs. Owners nearby to assist if needed.

Riverside Cabin Near Pinnacle Creek Trail-HMT

We're tucked into a quiet spot along the Guyandotte River, but we're close to skiing and whitewater rafting as well as the Hatfield-McCoy Trail. Located in the ATV friendly town of Mullens, WV, we're only 2.2 miles from the Pinnacle Creek Connector. We're close to restaurants, gas stations, and a grocery store. It's the best of small town life, and outdoor fun! Come enjoy the trails, fish right outside your backdoor, or kayak down the river!
