The Treehouse: Off-grid Retreat

Shaded in a canopy of macrocarpa trees at the base of Mt Taranaki national park, The Treehouse is a grown-up childhood sanctuary. Built from recycled materials, a repurposed spiral staircase takes you up the multiple levels of The Treehouse to a secluded living space nestled between the trees. Kick back in the canopy, swoop on the swings or shoot down the slide. This self-contained treehouse is powered by renewable energy and is only a short drive to New Plymouth, local beaches and the mountain.

An idyllic rural setting with a modern refurbished 2024 cottage containing all the things you need for a relaxing well catered holiday. We are on the property a working farm but all your spaces are your own. Well positioned for access to tourist attractions: beaches, city and mountain. From the moment you enter the driveway you can feel yourself de-stressing. Herbs & Vegetables in raised bed garden behind cottage- help yourself. We grow lots of our own food & love to share when available.

Cosy by the Sea

We offer you a private, warm, small quiet space neatly contained on the ground floor of our family home. Our quiet street sits right above the ocean where you can hear the lapping waves of the Tasman sea from your private courtyard, and have unlimited views out to the horizon. You'll want a camera for the sunsets. The entrance to the room is separate from the entrance to our house, so one has complete privacy. We offer modern bicycles for guest use at the cost of $20 per day, per bike.

Studio Verde - Tranquil setting, Great location

Our Studio Verde has been prepared with care for our guests. You can walk to famous Pukekura Park and the Bowl of Brooklands in just a few minutes. Mountain biking/hiking at Lake Mangamahoe is less than 10 minutes drive. Relax in a tranquil setting surrounded by native bush, enjoy abundant bird life, (plus we have chickens) and a nature track that runs behind our property and connects to the Te Henui walkway and spectacular New Plymouth Coastal walkway. Walk 2 minutes down our road and enjoy a spectacular view of Mount Taranaki on a clear day. Walkway around the corner - 30 minutes bike ride to Fitzroy Beach/Te Rewa Rewa bridge. Walk straight into your own studio style room with en-suite which is situated beneath our family home. Sorry there are no cooking facilities but a small fridge, microwave, jug, plates, cups, cutlery and also tea and coffee supplied. Te Henui walkway is 2 minutes walk away which leads you straight onto the foreshore walkway. Quick walk up the road to the locate supermarket, Pharmacy and Stumble Inn Cafe & Bar. Less than 5 minutes drive to central New Plymouth. Includes free Wifi

Kaitake Kabana - Unique Studio Retreat

Escape to the tranquility of Kaitake Kabana, an off-grid studio retreat space, nestled in the foothills of the Kaitake Ranges. This space is ideal for two, perfect for couples looking for a getaway (but can sleep up to 4 people with an extra mattress on the floor). The bathroom space and kitchenette are detached from the main living space. There is no wifi here and limited reception, come to embrace the serenity and switch off from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

It has a separate entrance from the main home allowing for more privacy with its own bathroom and kitchenette (with microwave, two elements, fridge, kettle and toaster). There is plenty of free street parking as well as a single car parking space next to the airbnb (for small cars only).
