We also have plenty parking for multiple trucks and ATV trailers! Unload at the house and take a scenic route to the off road park! The fun begins as soon as you get here! Need early access? Nestled within the Daniel Boone National Forest, approximately 13 miles from the Clay County seat of Manchester, our newly built, veteran-owned, pet-friendly, rural getaway awaits you and your guests! With several amenities including a private hot tub, twin-size porch bed swing, Nintendo Switch Game System, and fire pit with seating, you’re sure to feel right at home. Enjoy the thousands of acres of nearby hunting land, ATV trails (famous Red Bird Crest Trail, 0.9 miles away) or just relaxing!

Whether you prefer to hike, fish, ride sxs, or just enjoy scenery, we have it all. 3 min from Pine Mtn State Park and Wasioto Winds Golf Course, 7 min to downtown Pineville, 20 min to Cumberland Gap National Park. Kingdom Come State Park and Cumberland Falls are an hour drive. Load up your sxs or atv and ride one of the many trails right from the driveway! Black Mountain Off Road Park and Tackett Creek are also about an hour away.

Welcome to The Mayor’s Retreat!

Relax with the whole family at this wonderful home! This is the former home of Mayor Burl Fee, who loved adventure tourism and welcoming visitors to our unique community. The home is located at the Bailey’s Creek entrance to Black Mountain Off-road Adventure Area, in the city limits of Evarts KY, the “Birthplace of Adventure Tourism”. You’re literally steps from the North Evarts RV Park. You can unload and ride directly to the ATV park or any of the local restaurants and convenience stores.

Nestled in the heart of Lynch, KY, surrounded by comforting mountains, sets the Mountain Escape Cottage. Less than 1 mile from Portal 31, you can dive deep into the rich history of this tiny coal town. Within minutes you can drive to ATV parks, the highest point in KY, and many other mountainous adventures. Grab some coffee at the old cafe turned coffee shop, and visit the KY Coal Museum just 5 minutes away in Benham, KY. You and your family will leave here with beautiful mountain memories!

Plenty of parking; can accommodate trailers & RVs. RV park is a 45-minute drive.

Dan’s Den - Two bedroom home with outdoor firepit

Welcome to Dan’s Den, a spacious two bedroom home in the heart of the Appalachian mountains. Centrally located in Cumberland, the black bear capital of Kentucky. You’ll find many of the luxuries of a fine home here, but in a smaller home more suitable for a solo traveler, a couple, or small family. Enjoy two large living rooms, one of which is the newly added “log room”, cozied up in front of the gas fireplace for games, movies, or just to relax with a good book and a hot cup of coffee.

The Day Cabin

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. The Day Cabin is a primitive 1910-era log cabin. Originally located on Big Cowan, this cabin was deconstructed, transported and lovingly rebuilt and restored in beautiful downtown Whitesburg. Materials and items from numerous historic businesses and homes in Letcher County, Kentucky, used in the restoration process tell a story and give the cabin unique character and charm. While small, it has everything you need for your hideaway.

Cowan Creek Cottage is close to the Cowan Community Center and only 5½ miles outside the city limits of Whitesburg. The cottage is located at the foothills of Pine Mountain. The property includes stunning mountain views, hiking trails, a small creek for fishing, a luxurious spa, fire pit, and patio. AND, if you love the fall, the leaves can be spectacular here! The best is you do not have to fight the crowds in Smoky Mountain tourist traps!
