Cook on fire or use electric stove (takes a little while to heat up.) To access cabin, visitors must traverse uneven terrain, a steep hill, a crooked stairway and wobbly boardwalk. I'm a barefoot, bearded mountain man from Silverado Canyon who plays fiddle and mandolin and shares stories about the natural and cultural history of the Santa Ana Mountains in Orange County, CA. I'm a professional naturalist (environmental educator) and I've guided thousands of people on nature tours since 2001. I'm also a forager, holistic gardener, humanure composter, entomophagist (bug eater) and primitive skills teacher.
