Was a very clean apartment. Location is harder to get too than we thought. The host did tell us to rent a car which we did but still it was tricky to get to the house within winter. The house is the last house on the hill/mountain at the very top. About halfway up our car wheels started spinning and we started to slide back. We ended up having to reverse down to the nearest driveway and park there, get out and walk up to the house in the cold to get some help. SNOW CHAINS IN THE WINTER IS A MUST, HIRING A CAR IS A MUST. Although when we arrived the host was very welcoming and happy to help us with our car issues. There was a language barrier as the host doesn't know English and therefore she was relying on both her daughters to be home to be able to translate to us. When trying to contact the host she would never reply which was a bit odd. The house itself is in a beautiful secluded scenic place where you are able to look on all of Itter bowled in by the mountains surrounding which is a beautiful view indeed. The kitchen is lacking essentials like a microwave or at least some salt and pepper shakers. The house entertainment is very much lacking. There are only board games in german. The TV is obviously in german as well but there was no DVD player. Being so secluded we were hoping that there would be some indoor entertainment because we were planning on having a rest day at the house in between the ski days. It got so bad we had to go out and buy our own DVD player. We did offer it to the host but she didn't want it therefore we took it home with us. You must bring your own house entertainment if you come to this apartment place. Also thicker duvets would of been nice because at night it got extremely could yet we were stuck with thin duvets. There is also no shower towels and only hand towels so you must bring your own bathing towels. There was a problem with the shower- when we first arrived the shower was so hot we couldnt wash ourselves. Than by the third day they had fixed it which was very nice but two days before we left it decided to break again and only sent us cold water- which in wintery snow season was not what we wanted. Other than that this is a very lovely place and Soll is only 15/20 minutes drive away where there is some very nice pubs, restaurants, cafes, bars and shops. There is also a variety of hiking routes which you can find at the tourist information in Soll.
