We are in the heart of the beautiful countryside of the Chalke Valley on the Wiltshire/Dorset/Hampshire borders. Salisbury, Shaftesbury, Winchester, Stonehenge, the New Forest and the world famous Dorset Jurassic Coast are all within an easy drive.
The Lodge at Chalkway House has recently been refurbished and offers spacious and yet cosy living space. Luxurious white towelling dressing gowns, Hungarian goose down duvets and Egyptian cotton sheets are there to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Basic household goods are provided such as dishwasher tablets, rubbish bags, loo paper. Toiletries, teabags, coffee, sugar, milk, bread, butter, mini jams/honey and a few biscuits will be there on your arrival.
The kitchen is fully equipped and has a dining table with 5 chairs.
The accommodation sleeps 5 people. There's a full size single bed on the upstairs landing (no window) between the bathroom and sitting room. THe bed/sitting room upstairs has a leather sofa bed which can sleep an additional two people. If your group is more than 5 please get in touch with the owner. There is only one bathroom ( x2 loos). Extra guest maybe permitted at the discretion of the owner. The stunning 650 sq ft Garden Room on the ground floor is split in two by movable standing screens. On one side is a king size bed, seating, storage and separate WC. On the other is the games area with bench seating, pool table and full height table football. Alongside the games and books, there's plenty to keep all ages entertained.
The Garden Room has two sets of doors that open out directly onto the private lawned area with access to a hard tennis court.
Upstairs there is a spacious bathroom with lovely, peaceful garden views. The bath has a shower attachment, and there's a toilet and hand basin with heated lit mirror above.
The lawn in front of the Lodge is for your exclusive use (outside table and chairs provided). Guests may use the tennis court anytime and we can provide rackets and balls. There is plenty of parking space available very close to the Lodge at the top of the drive. There is a washing machine for your exclusive use in the utility room of the main house which is a few steps away from the lodge. A key can be provide on request for access between 9.00 am and 6.00 pm.

We are ideally placed for all the things you might want to do in the countryside, walking (many direct from the Lodge), cycling, fishing and golf.
We're delighted to welcome you to our private residence and would ask that you respect your surroundings. The accommodation is strictly NO SMOKING for your safety and to prevent lingering smells. You may smoke well away from the thatched building in the garden but please dispose of your cigarette butts sensibly and not in the flower beds.
We have our own dog and welcome your own small to mid-sized (the garden and lodge is not suitable for large dogs) but this MUST BE DISCUSSED at the time of booking. There is a small extra nightly charge for a pet (£10 per night to be paid in cash on arrival).
No additional guests may stay overnight. No parties allowed.
