You are in serenity to settle your breath and your heart. Ten minutes away is a fork into Sequoia or Kings Canyon (must see) National Park. Both provide the Giant Trees, caves, varieties of hikes and fishing locations. Or simply a walk from the cabin
As given by guests, a five star property for a good reason and a great place to stay. The cabin is as described, and the bonus is an amazing western view from the mountains. Sitting comfortably on the deck provides a beautiful arrangement of colors in the setting sun. Set on a mountain slope, the cabin at 4200 ft looking out into the westward terrain. You want peace and quiet: a road less traveled passes the cabin and for the early riser, get a cup of coffee and enjoy yourself on the deck or take a nice walk on a road less traveled (Hogback Rd.) for a scenic view.
Fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. When you arrive late and hungry and tired, there is a Belgium waffle maker on the kitchen counter. In the pantry under the stairway, there is waffle mix [THERE IS OIL BUT NEED EGGS] and syrup. In the refrigerator, there are sticks of butter and various condiments. Mixing bowls, spatulas, utensils, and plates are provided in the kitchen drawers and cupboards. And of course the necessary can opener and a crockpot.
In addition, on the back porch, is a three burner propane barbecue. I sear various red meat, turning both sides at least twice to get grill marks. Then I put the meat on a cookie sheet over a low fire above the middle burner. The outer burners produce the high indirect heat. Helps to clean for the next Grill Master. [Costco has great tri tip roast. Remember to marinate the roast and other meats over night. Yummy]
There is no Starbucks. No worries though! There is a Keurig waiting for you who can't survive without coffee. If you desire a cup of coffee, there is a Keurig on the counter with coffee pods and creamers in the drawer below. Those of you who brought your favorite coffee beans, just look in the cupboard to the right of the sink. A quick look to find a grinder and a French Press. Also, on the counter, is a electric teapot for the hot water. Let’s not leave out other necessary wishes: WIFI and VCR. There is already a collection of DVDs.
This is a cozy cabin, well-equipped and well maintained. It is very private and cozy, so perfect for your vacation. You will enjoy sunset and color changes in the sky so beautiful and the night skies are also amazing. The front yard is big enough to play ball, and you should even bring and set up badminton net and play.
The cabin provides comfortable beds with comforters, multiple pillows, nice linen and nice towels after a hot shower or enjoying a bubble bath. There is a laundry hamper in the upstairs bathroom and the downstairs closet across from the pantry. (Please put used linen and towels in the hampers at the end of your visit) If you are looking for additional trash bags, on the dining table side of the stove counter, there is a low level storage door containing trash bags.
Outside, inside the fence, are two sanitation containers for trash and recycle. Thank you for using them.
We look forward to suggestions that would enhance your experience.

We had an amazing stay at Michael's Peaceful Heavenly Retreat! He provided excellent directions to locate the cabin as well as instructions for entry and use of the cabin. Also, if you are flying into California, let Michael know where you are landing in the North or the South. He will design your directions.
Coming from the SOUTH (thru Bakersfield), map quest the town of Traver then map quest Save-mart at 1580 E Manning Ave in Reedley, to connect to Hwy 180. At Save-mart, you can load up on additional provision so you are ready for great fun.
Or coming from the CENTRAL COAST, you will travel on Hwy 46 and bend North onto Hwy 41. After passing Lemoore, you are looking to turn East on Mtn. View (Ave 416). You will cross Hwy 99 and you can map quest Save-mart at 1580 E Manning Ave in Reedley to connect to Hwy 180. [I would travel to Rd 56 then turn North to Save-mart's location.] At Save-mart, you can load up on additional provision so you are ready for great fun.
**For those from SOUTH and CENTRAL COAST here is the short cuts to connect to Hwy 180 to reach the cabin. We are at Save-mart in Reedley for provisions (Make sure you have eggs to make some waffles when you are hungry and tired). We will go North on Buttonwillow Ave; In 4 miles, make a Right on E American Ave (can't make a Left turn); In 4.5 miles, make a Left on Cove Ave (to the right are numerous radio towers). Cove Ave dead ends in 4 miles into Hwy 180. Turn right to climb up towards the mountains. You will climb 1, 2, 3 thousand feet on Hwy 180. At 4 thousand feet, just before the Snowlike Lodge, you will recognize a change in the environment. Be on the look out for the 5 thousand ft marker, for you are 1.3 miles to the turnoff onto Hwy 245. [At the turnoff, it is six miles to the park entry on Hwy 180 and five miles on Hwy 245 to Pinehurst. To finally reach the cabin, after about 4 miles on 245, turn left onto Hogback Rd to Peaceful Heavenly Retreat (.2 miles).] Text me if you have any upcoming questions.
**For you TRAVELING FROM THE NORTH, your initial target is Fresno using Hwy 99. Once on 99 in Fresno, you are looking to merge off and onto Hwy 180 heading East to the mountains. IN THE MTNS, groceries are scarce and if you forgot something, you will be glad you stopped. So after leaving Fresno, map quest Walmart, 2761 Jenson Ave, Sanger for provisions (Make sure you have eggs to make the waffles mix when you are hungry and tired). Your next map quest to set your compass onto the mountains is the School House Tavern at 1018 S Frankwood Ave. From this point, you have a short distance to begin the climb into the mountains, You will climb 1, 2, 3 thousand feet on Hwy 180.
NOW EVERYONE HAS ARRIVE: If you are arriving at night, there are solar spotlights on the gateposts shining at the flag and the lock box. The purple key ring opens the cabin entry doors and the blue key ring will open the outside door on the back deck for access to the water heater. Turn the thermostat knob to your desirer.
Your passcodes for the cabin’s wifi: Router name: dlink-755C; Password: ***********
In the cabin, there are Three Lamp Lights on timer control: One in the living room and one in each bedroom. Locate the lamps on timer and slide the switch to the Left. This gives you control of the Lamp's Light. At the conclusion of your visit, turn the Three Lamp Lights On and slide the switch to the Right that gives the Timer On and Off control. Thank you
If the season requires a fire, here is the procedures. Fireplace: On the right bottom edge, there is a lever that you can pull toward you or pushback. The back position is high, middle is middle, and forward is low. The high position is for getting the fire started. In the small bucket is Manzanita. It burns very hot, so you only need a little. Enjoy your fire building. Once the fire is going well move the lever to the middle position. If you are adding wood, move the lever back and slowly open the fire door to reduce smoke into the cabin. Add the wood, latch door, move lever to middle position. When the heat is approaching comfort, slow down the burn by moving the lever forward. Wood and kindling (in wooden box) is stacked outside the backdoor. Please reload the backdoor wood rack from the two wood stacks for the next visitors.
Have a great time.
