This home is an amazing authentic log cabin with lodge decor and breathtaking views of a beautiful quiet lake. It's Alpine style features large windows, a stone fireplace, a magnificent great room with dining area, bar and kitchen and a loft with two bunk rooms. Every season offers opportunities for a relaxing getaway whether it's swimming or kayaking, hiking or snowshoeing. Bruce and I are your bnb hosts. We will be at home in our own living space. We are there if you need assistance or information but otherwise seek to be invisible! You will have access to a well- equipped kitchen, the great room with fireplace, dining room with a classic cabin appropriate table and a bar with 8 bar stools. There are two beautifully appointed bedrooms upstairs on the loft that overlook the great room and the lake - the best view in the house! Also upstairs is a bathroom with a small shower stall. The home is decorated in grand fashion to truly capture the essence of log cabin living. There is also a half bath on the first floor with laundry facilities. In warmer months you can enjoy the outdoor deck with picnic table that seats 12, the gas grill, two kayaks, a canoe, two paddleboards, an antique rowboat, and the dock. Year round enjoy the pool table downstairs and the outdoor firepit. Optional extras are yoga classes taught by a certified instructor, paddleboard instruction, paddleboard yoga classes, and also a sunset cruise on a 12 person party boat with champagne and hors d'oeuvres. Enjoy the haunting sounds of the loons during the summer months, the beauty of autumn colors on the lake, an enchanting Christmas season or snow falling in winter. Year round there is something for everyone but always a warm, cozy getaway retreat.

We are happy to recommend places to go and our favorite bars and restaurants. I will be available off and on throughout each day. This is an ideal place to rest and relax and enjoy the beautiful clean water of Wilson Lake. Fabulous restaurants for breakfast, lunch or dinner are within 15 minutes. Berry-picking is handy and very popular. Walking and hiking right from the property.

Our home is very welcoming and friends find it to be a lovely gathering place for events all year long. I provide an extensive tip sheet with information about the local area - things to do, places to go, restaurants and shopping.
Although we have dogs and love dogs, we would prefer not to have pets in the mix. Adults would be most comfortable here. The area is a quiet, relaxing place so keep that in mind. Inviting additional guests by special request only. Children under 12 by special request. No large parties ever. No smoking allowed anywhere.
I am a retired former business owner. I love living in Maine in a log cabin with my husband and our two black labs. Practicing yoga is my passion and I recently earned my 200 hour yoga teacher certification. I love sharing the benefits of yoga with others. I also love to travel and am working at ticking places off my bucket list - I skied in Park City Utah this year and that was fabulous. My prized possession is my Steinway Grand piano and I enjoy playing on a daily basis. I love reading, running or walking with my dogs, snow and water skiing, weight training and paddleboarding. I especially love paddleboard yoga when the lake is flat in the morning or at dusk.
My husband and I love to entertain and especially enjoy sharing our beautiful home with others. Our best times are when the children and grandchildren come. We get to take them out on the boat for swimming, tubing or fishing. Campfires and cookouts are always part of the fun. Becoming an Airbnb Hostess was a natural for me.
We also own a second home in northern Vermont that is a really cozy off-the grid cabin. We enjoy an occasional weekend getaway to our little cabin in the woods - no electricity, no phone, no TV, no internet. Suits me just fine!
Life is short and we don't know what tomorrow holds. Seize each day and savor the present moment.
