Experience real Moroccan life with my family at the Berber Cultural Center, a social enterprise I set up in 2005 to share my culture and help the local community. We have 14 bedrooms and several beautiful communal areas. A homestay with us includes joining us in our daily activities, such as cooking, taking our sweet donkey to the well, local cultural events and breakfast at the weekly market. You can relax in our steam room and during the summer you can use our small open-air swimming pool.
We have 14 bedrooms at the Berber Cultural Centre and eight shared bathrooms. We have only listed three bedrooms on AirBnB, so if we appear fully booked just send us a message and we should be able to accommodate you.
The center is designed to showcase traditional Berber life. The private areas are simple yet functional because the focus of Berber life is the family. Our shared areas are the most luxurious and richly decorated.
You will have access to all areas of the main house and out buildings. The only area we like to remain private are my family's bedrooms.

We offer a homestay experience, and there is usually some family members at home most hours of the day. Our place is big enough for you to find some quiet time if you'd like to relax on your own.
The first day of a homestay usually includes a cooking class, with my aunt Fatima showing you how to make traditional Moroccan flat bread and my wife Fayza showing you how to cook a tagine.

We are 4.5 kms from the town of Imintanoute, which has limited dining and shopping options. We provide all meals during your stay, as well as drinking water and one activity a day. This is all included in the per-person price.
There is a small shop a few doors down, which sells drinks, snacks and essentials such as nappies/diapers.
We don't have wifi at the Berber Cultural Center, and the phone signal is quite patchy. If you think you'll need wifi during your stay, let us know and we'll organise a lift to the cafe in Imintanoute with the fastest wifi (which isn't always fast at all).
