Comfortable queen bed with private bath in single family home right in Spanish Town. Close to the city center, capitol buildings, LSU, the airport, restaurants, grocery stores, and seconds from the state museum and Saturday farmer's market. Perfect for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.
We do have a new and very comfortable sofa that can sleep an additional guest located in the living room.
Our home is the only house on the block and sits on a holdout lot within state property, which makes for a pretty unique setting! Parking is free, as you will have the driveway.
Guest room, living room, kitchen, patio, bathroom. While there are two bathrooms, the shower in the master is not connected, so we will be using the same shower. Otherwise, you will have the bathroom to yourself.

I work a 10 minute walk from home, so can be available if needed. I am always available through text.
- We don't allow smoking inside (vaporizers are OK), but it's fine on the porch or in the yard. If you use the kitchen, please leave it as you found it. There will be a $5 charge for the use of the washing machine and drier if you are only staying one night.
Sometimes I can be flexible with check in times, but please ask! If you are going to arrive significantly earlier than planned (even if it's after 4), I need to know a day in advance. We schedule ourselves around the times that you give us, so the room may not be ready if you arrive several hours earlier than we were anticipating!

I like playing games, cooking, and movies. I love food, especially cheese, and beer. I am an archaeologist for the state, and my husband is an EEG technician. We are usually busy with work during the day, but when we are around we are happy to go out or show points of interest around town when we have the time.
I am currently on a fermentation kick- we've been making lots of hot sauce, sourdough bread, and beer in our house, but we promise not to make any kimchi prior to your arrival! If you are into spicy foods, I grow Scorpion, Ghosts, and Carolina Reapers (the hottest pepper in the world, currently).
James's interests are science, philosophy, all things Kaiju, and board game design. If you are agreeable, he may use you as a guinea pig for one of the games he is developing.
