It is always good to carry a warm jacket/trekking gear and rainponcho/umbrella in Norway!!
If there is sun, its always at this Vaulen property which is built to capture the sun :) Enjoying a drink in the gazebo or on the veranda with the gorgeous views is suggested!
Regarding trekking to Kjerag there is no bus from the ferry to the starting point for the trekk until July.
Probably not a good idea to arrive in Stavanger via the shipping port at Tananger (the ferry goes to and from bergen and Denmark) as there is no bus until July and you need to call a taxi (about 600kroners to get into Stavanger).
