Great walking or biking on the well maintained camp road. This family cottage is quiet, private and relaxing.
Uniquely private and quiet. The exceptional deck overlooking the lake is perfect for that cup of coffee, viewing the moon, and relaxing. From the deck you will be serenaded by the Loons and our resident Great Blue Heron may make a stroll down the shore and onto the dock. Awesome!!
We call the cottage Our Place and invite you to do the same. Please enjoy it as much as we do and treat it as you would your own special get away. It's our pleasure to share it with you.Enjoy everything that doesn't have a lock on it. The shed, the eaves in the loft and some trailers for the dock etc. are locked. The rest is yours to enjoy.

Muita huomioonotettavia seikkoja
There are lots of local town festivals. Readfield Heritage Days , an Indian Pow Wow in Leeds, live professional theater in Monmouth and fine dining at the Weathervane in Readfield or in historic Hollowell which often has live music outdoors along the Kennebec River. Don't forget the Maine State Museum and Libray. Golf, antiquing, sightseeing, a drive to the coast. A peak inside Readfield's Union Meeting House and the Readfield Historical Museum are must does as well. Readfield has an amazing trails system and the self supporting Town Beach is excellent for the very young non-swimmers.

Sylvia is a retired Real Estate Broker. She grew up spending summers on a lake in Massachusetts. When to University of The Pacific in California where she met Stan. Stan grew up in Turner, Maine graduated from Bates College, attended grad school at McGill in Montreal. He is a retired hard rock mineral exploration geologist. His career provided lots of interesting moves around the country for him and our family. We enjoy a rural life style on a large range with lots of Arabian Horses, alfalfa and grain field as well as a good number of traveling honey bee hives that pollinate crops up and down the west coast. We like things that get us outdoors.
