Beautiful vacation rental with one bedroom(queen) and smaller adjacent room (one twin) with two rollaway beds, comfy couch with removable back pillows, kitchen, laundry, piano/office room, creek. Central AC. Gas fire. Walkable through the historic neighborhood to fun downtown and only two miles to the Rogue River. Walk to restaurants, cafes, bakeries, antique and incredible vintage shopping. One mile off I-5. Owner is not present during guest stays.
Enjoy a private stay at the Cow House retreat in Grants Pass on historic and charming Washington Boulevard. I live in Portland so other than one wing which is locked off, guests have private use of the whole house. The walk down the Boulevard to town is full of roses and Victorians. The Cow House is the first legally approved vacation rental dwelling in Grants Pass under the new city ordinance just passed July 2017. Nice for hosts to keep it legal so guest reservations can't be suddenly canceled for host violations of the city ordinance.
Please review the guest access part of the listing. One wing is locked off but no one uses it during guest stays. The second "bedroom" is a small room with a daybed (twin) immediately adjacent to the larger bedroom. There is not a great deal of privacy between the two rooms. Two rollaway beds and the non pull-out couch are also available.
I have a local cohost to assist because my home base is in Portland. It's a wonderful 1944 completely refreshed craftsman just six blocks from downtown Grants Pass. Central air conditioning. Just one mile off I-5. Gas fireplace. Beautiful kitchen with cookware and dishes. Roomy bathroom with combined shower and tub. Piano. Office with printer. Laundry room with washer and dryer. Courtyard under pergola. Flower garden with a seasonal creek, a large outdoor table and a John Michener mural featuring The Cow. This listing is new so only a few reviews so far but please click on my profile and check out my 200 guest reviews for my Seaside cottage and my Portland space :)
I'd suggest a one week stay if you have the time to take in all the sites. You probably won't want to leave. The Cow House is also a perfect place to nest if you are visiting family in the area. Business travelers will love its central location walkable in 15 minutes to the courthouse and city hall and the new sit-down and sip Dutch Brothers. A local co-host Cindy who lives in Grants Pass will also be available to attend to emergencies, etc.
The entire house and yard except for the owner's one bedroom wing. The owner will not be present during your stay. I Iive in Portland but will be reachable by phone or text. Also a local co-host in Grants Pass will be available.
