Faustas is probably one of the best Airbnb host that I ever had. His and his parents' hospitality were extremely heartwarming. I must say my friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay for four nights. Supermarket and restaurants are within the vicinity of the house And will also have a good night sleep as it is away from the main road.
During our stay, we managed to enjoy and experience the best of both worlds; travelling like a tourist as well as living the life like a local Norwegian.
As tourists, we travelled to Bergen which was approximately 35m by bus (number 600). We also took a one day cruise to Hardangerfjord which was simply breathtaking.
While living like a local Norwegian, Faustas introduced us to several activities that the locals like to do to past their time. For example, he brought us to hike the Lyshornet hill, which stands around 404m tall. The view at the peak was simply picturesque and definitely great for beginner hikers as it only took us about 2.5 hours going up and down the hill. Faustas also brought us fishing, which was our very first time doing it. Can you imagine fishing while enjoying the majestic view of the fjords? Moreover, we got to enjoy eating the mackerel that we caught specially prepared by his mother. Another great recommendation from him was the buffet we had at Oseana restaurant in Os. We were treated to a myriad of fresh seafood and meat dishes while being able to enjoy the scenic view of the fjords. What more can we ask for?
These four nights stay at Faustas's home was definitely a great one and I truly encourage everyone to stay here. You won't regret it. I'll surely be back if I were to ever visit Norway again. (:
