Our property offers guests a private double room in a former fisherman's cottage dating back to the 1860's. Situated directly opposite Newlyn harbour and located on the old sea wall this is a piece of Cornish history.
The property is quirky with low ceilings and a steep staircase so may not be suitable for those with mobility needs.
We are situated on the southwest coast path and have good transport links to Penzance, Mousehole and St Ives.
Our cottage is just a short walk from the centre of Newlyn with its lovely cafes, the award winning Tolcarne pub and the new art house cinema. Newlyn is also home to the famous Jelberts ice cream as well as the local art gallery, and other craft and pottery shops.
It is an ideal base for exploring the lovely West Penwith area and is only 2 miles from Mousehole. The town of Penzance is within walking distance and Newlyn itself has good bus services and a local taxi firm. Lands End, Sennen Cove, Porthcurno beach, the Minack theatre and St Ives are all easily accessible from Newlyn.
This cosy cottage provides guests with a larger than king size sofa bed in a bright room overlooking Newlyn harbour.
The room has been newly decorated and carpeted. It has its own separate staircase which is accessed from the kitchen.
Guests will be able to make tea and coffee in their room and can have access to our Wi-Fi. Towels are also provided.
Guests have shared use of the family bathroom which has a spacious walk in shower. Hot water is constantly available and the cottage has central heating throughout.
There is a small terraced garden which you are welcome to use and a small park right outside the house.
Due to the nature of the property, doorways and stairs are narrow and steep.

There is no parking at the property however the harbour car park is just across the road (charges apply).
There is also on road parking a short walk away although this can't be guaranteed particularly during busy periods.
Guests also need to note that Newlyn is a busy working harbour. It is therefore inevitable that at times this will be noisy.
As guests will be sharing our home we ask you to be respectful of this throughout your stay.
Tea and coffee making equipment will be provided but no hot food in the room please.
Please leave outdoor footwear in the kitchen.
