I am sorry that Turtle Hill was not a good fit for Allan and Vicky. The smoke alarm going off at night would understandably cast a pall over anyone’s vacation - which is why I did offer Allen an extra night of his choosing. That offer still stands. If issues arise, I attend to them immediately, as I do want happy renters. This happened at 3 am, and I called back at 6:30 am. It’s unfortunate the neighbor’s nearby driveway was an added complication (it has not been a problem for any other guests). It can clearly be seen in a few of my posted photos. As stated in my listing, the house faces nature on three sides, and sits on a tiny, quiet village side street with three nearby houses. While it sits close to the street, there is little to no traffic. It is in the village, so not a truly secluded country house if that's what you're looking for, but part of its magic is its combination of soothing nature, water views, and easy walkability to town. For many, staying here has been an enchanting experience, and I’ve been thrilled to welcome people to my cozy little home, make them comfy, and get their positive feedback. I hope my 'Super Host' status and other glowing reviews will highlight the positives and speak for themselves.
