d’Omah is located in the village of Tembi approximately 20 minutes from the center of Jogjakarta . Tembi was made internationally famous by profiles in such magazines as TIME because it is the base of Indonesia’s craft guru Warwick Purser, who is the owner of d’Omah and a well-known promoter of local art. Many pieces of art can be seen throughout the property . Tembi is in easy traveling distance to artists’ studios, handicraft and batik making centers, the Sultan’s palace and the other famous tourist sites that Jogjakarta offers. The major cultural sites of Borobudur and Prambanan are easily accessible. Also highly recommended is a ride on our horse and carriage, exploring first hand everyday village life.
