With 150 positive guests experiences, we were bound to be get the one guest that complained about everything. This guest is Mark. Mark stayed with us for 3 days and never contacted us with any of the issues he stated while staying here. He waited until the day after he checked out. Mark’s description of our space is false. Yes the space is in our finished basement; however, it is completely private. We did not see Mark the entire 3 days of his stay, nor did we enter the space. Being a finished basement in our home, you will hear some occasional noises due to the fact that we are a family home, which is listed in the description. We make it a point to remind guests that this space is part of our home and that you may hear us just as we may hear you, which is also part of our description. Mark left this very negative review because we did not approve his request for a discounted stay after he had finished his stay. After his stay was completed, he tried to file with Airbnb’s resolution center; however, they also found this claims untrue and denied him a refund. He also initially tried to ask for a lower nightly rate. We believe Mark to be a guest whose sole intension is to get a refund from places he stays. Please read any of our other 150 positive reviews to hear the truth about our guests’ stay. Our overall 4.8 rating and super host status indicate that this guest (Mark) is just a very disgruntle individual. Had we known Mark’s complaints prior to his departure, we would have gladly tried to improve any/all of them.
