Some times there are three dogs on the property but guests will not interface with them much except maybe through fence. There is occasional noise associated with them but we try to mitigate their impact on the household as a whole.
No smoking anywhere in or around the property. There is light housekeeping is done approximately bi-weekly - thus long term tenants will need to keep the apartment reasonably tidy.
I am a transplant from San Francisco. I bought this old farm house in Walnut Creek to take care of my mother who was living nearby. Walnut Creek is a nice place to land with its trees, great downtown, and its rural feel inside a busy city. This old farm house, the original homestead of the area, was a wreck, having been neglected for decades. But it has been given a new life and I hope to share it with others who find themselves passing through Walnut Creek.
I am retired from the University of California, San Francisco where I worked in the field of reproductive rights. I am also an artist - known for making something out of nothing. My other interests are in the animal welfare and conservation.
Walnut Creek has a nice downtown with good grub, spas, and shopping. Most days are sunny and warm. There are many great options for spending your days outside. The streets are squeaky clean. And it’s close to Oakland and San Francisco should you need your big city fix!
