NYS COVID-19 TRAVEL ADVISORY
Governor Andrew M. Cuomo has announced new guidelines allowing travelers to New York to “test out” of the mandatory 14-day quarantine. Travelers from states that are contiguous with New York are exempt from the travel advisory; however covered travelers must continue to fill out the Traveler Health Form. Essential workers will continue to be exempt as well. The guidance also applies to international travelers coming from any CDC Level 2 or Level 3 Health Notice country. The new protocol is effective Wednesday, November 4.

For any traveler to New York State from a noncontiguous state, US territory or CDC level 2 or level 3 country, the new guidelines for travelers to test-out of the mandatory 14-day quarantine are below:
・For travelers who were out-of-state for more than 24 hours:
・Travelers must obtain a test within three days of departure, prior to arrival in New York.
・The traveler must, upon arrival in New York, quarantine for three days.
・On day 4 of their quarantine, the traveler must obtain another COVID test. If both tests comes back negative, the traveler may exit quarantine early upon receipt of the second negative diagnostic test.

*My apartments are shared apartments and can't be used for self-quarantine. Please book a hotel for the first few days following the arrival date and reserve my listing after the self-quarantine period.

Harlem is known for its soul food and New York attractions such as the Apollo Theater and its history. Harlem remains one of New York’s most vibrant neighborhoods in contrast to what the mass may think of its ghetto history.

Amid beloved landmarks, you should spend a day indulging in some of the nabe’s prize jewels: a bakery that serves cookies the size of your fist, a finger-lickin’-good eatery with ribs and the best BBQ that melts in your mouth and a no-frills music venue showcasing some of the best jazz musicians in the city.

There’s Sylvia, Harlem natives head to this soul-food favorite for signature chicken and waffles, hearty meat loaf and gooey mac and cheese. The establishment is famous for its homestyle cooking comes and kindred hospitality: The restaurant has a cozy vibe with photographs of famous customers that line the walls.

Lido is also an amazing option: the white sangria and the salmon is the go-to. Some locals recommend the lamb chops. It comes with a butternut squash hash. Everything is seasoned to perfection. Did we mention that the as the salmon melts in your mouth, but still has a slight crisp on the outside?
