A unique, sunny, and spacious recently remodeled two story home consisting of 2,010 sq. ft., 3 bedroom, and two baths located in Pleasure Point.

The house is situated on a quiet dead end street that comfortably hosts 8 people. Home has multiple decks on two levels with beautiful views of Moran Lagoon. We strive to provide a very accurate description of the house, we want you to be happy and enjoy our stay!

Exceptional location as it is a quick walk to several beaches including 26, The Point, Rockview, Sunnycove, Twin Lakes. Walking/Biking distance to Capitola and 41st.
Walking from the house, 26th Ave Beach is 0.3 miles, the Point is 0.4 miles, Margaritaville in Capitola is 2.0 miles. The Moran Lagoon trail is behind the house on the other side of the lagoon, please access from 30th or Moran Lake Park which is 0.25 miles away walking. Two to three bikes may be available for your use when the bike waiver form is signed and returned for each guest using the bikes. We also have helmets available and encourage the use of bike helmets.

The house is well-equipped for a relaxing and comfortable stay.

Experience the ambiance of the upstairs freestanding fireplace which has been converted for use with candles. Enjoy the romance of the flickering lights. Savor the expansive views from the house and decks. The upstairs deck has a seating area, lights, and propane heater. The downstairs has french doors leading to a large deck with lights, a relaxing hammock, seating area and BBQ grill. Access to the backyard grass yard area is from this deck. (Please note, it is responsibility of the guest to clean the BBQ after use, they are best cleaned when hot. The cleaning people do not fire up the grill or use chemicals to clean the grill. In addition, the grill uses portable propane canisters, we try to keep them on hand, but in case we are out, they are $5.99 at OSH.)

Flat screen smart HDTVs, local stations, Roku, and wireless internet are provided on both levels. Sonos speaker is located on top floor.

The Nest thermostat provides cozy heating throughout the house. (No A/C but really not needed.)

The kitchen is well equipped to prepare family meals. Various spices, oils, salt/pepper, coffee, tea, and paper products are provided. There are ample dishes (ocean themed), ocean themed platters, multiple styles of glass sets, pots, pans, rice cooker, slow cooker, toaster oven, microwave, coffee maker, etc. All new stainless steel Kitchen Aid appliances as of 2/1/2017. (Please note, we have an good selection of condiments and paper products, but if we don’t have something you want, there are several grocery stores in the area and The Point Market is a quick walk away.)

Bathrooms have been completely remodeled. Both bathrooms have showers with no bathtub. We provide ample bath towels as well as beach towels. Shampoo, conditioner, and blow dryer are in both bathrooms.

Upstairs:
Living room, dining area, kitchen, bathroom, master bedroom, and deck. Throughout the upstairs there are many skylights and view of green-belt at Lake Moran.

Master Bedroom: Large room with King Bed, skylight and deck. Master bedroom connects to walk-in closet and bathroom.

Downstairs:
Family room connecting to large deck with view, kitchenette/wet bar area, bathroom, laundry, and two bedrooms.

Downstairs Bed Rooms:
One room with queen bed and view of green-belt.
Other room has full size bed with twin trundle

King - Master bedroom main floor
Queen - bedroom 2 downstairs

The house is a 5-10 minute walk to several area beaches for a fun day of surfing, boogie boarding, sunbathing, and relaxing. We have boogie boards, kids wet suits, beach toys, wheeled-cooler, and beach mats. Two to three bikes are available if the release of liability is signed and returned by any guest using the bike(s).

Carport: Parking for 4 vehicles and includes an outdoor shower.

Check in: You will receive the code to the door on the day of your arrival.

If they come and it is problematic, please let us know and/or our handyman across the street and he can take care of. This is not a common or big issue, but in the case there are a few ants and it will impact your stay, please let us know at the time, not after the fact.

Minimize laundry as much as reasonably possible – Santa Cruz enforces water rationing.

House has been recently remodeled due to damage caused by a guest. Please use care and consideration when staying in our home. Please promptly report any running water such as toilets or leaks.

Very quiet neighborhood on a dead-end street, no thru traffic. Houses on our side of this street back up to Moran Lagoon. Beautiful views of green-belt and quick walk to the beach. Enjoy the views of the monarch butterflies and ducks while listening to the waves.

The house is a 5-10 minute walk to several area beaches for a fun day of surfing, boogie boarding, sunbathing, and relaxing. Surfers only have a short walk to enjoy the world class surf at Pleasure Point break, the Hook, 38th, Sharks, and 26.

The restaurants and shopping on Portola and 41st are just a 15-20 minute walk or 10 minute bike ride away (0.9 miles).

Capitola and The Harbor/Crow’s nest are both a 2 mile walk, (Please note they are in opposite directions.) Walking 30-40 minutes, biking 20 minutes, and a 5-7 minutes drive.

The Pleasure Point Market is a short walk away or there are a number of grocery stores within a 5-10 minute drive (Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, Safeway.)

It is a 20 minute drive to the boardwalk depending upon traffic.

We are a couple who owns several rental properties in the Bay Area and Santa Cruz. We love to travel and welcome fellow travelers to our vacation rental home in Santa Cruz. Some of our favorite things to do when in Santa Cruz is walking the beaches to Capitola during low tide and collecting, shells, driftwood, and beach glass or riding our bicycles all over town. We love traveling throughout Europe and especially Italy. Our bucket list of near-future travel destinations are Spain, Portugal, Morocco and Ecuador & Colombia.

Our maintenance person lives across the street. His name is Bob and he is available for potential issues, questions, concerns. He is very friendly and may say Hi and introduce himself if he sees you checking in.
