Little Acorn is a charming secluded cabin nestled in the woods. The property is surrounded on all sides by Acadia National Park. Visitors enjoy privacy and proximity to Compass Harbor (a beautiful beach with a rich history), a very secluded rock beach, and trails. 1 mile from the center of Bar Harbor and the entrance to Acadia National Park's famous "Park Loop Road", which contains all of the trail-heads.
The cabin was once the tennis house from an old estate. We love our home so please take care of her! There are trails and the ruins of George Door's Home that can be accessed from Old Farm Rd.
You may walk on any trails and enjoy the rock beach at the end of the trail.

The cabin is in the deep woods of Maine. It is not for city folk who don't enjoy the woods! There are lots of animals and such!
No smoking in the house. Do not leave a fire unattended ever. Do not leave trash on the porch or anywhere that isn't bungeed in the can outside. Trash must be in garbage bags in the can or they will not pick it up!
I have been spending the summer months in Bar Harbor with my family for my entire life (51 years). Mount Desert is a beautiful enchanting Island. We have a wonderful home on a cliff above the rock beach pictured. We rent the guest house to help defray the the cost of taxes and upkeep on this property. We enjoy hiking, biking, and boating in Acadia. We never tire of the many mountains to climb and areas to explore. We also love eating lobster and relaxing.
