A huge, beautiful vintage apartment with a craft kitchen/bar, three queen beds, newly remodeled bath and three striking outdoor spaces—a deck and two balconies with amazing views of downtown KC.
Ideally situated in downtown Kansas City between the historic West Side and Crossroads Arts District. Walking distance to the Convention Center, Kauffman, restaurants, music, bars, light rail line and lots more. Book this highly-reviewed loft now!
You'll be staying in a lovingly restored loft that takes up the entire second floor of a historic brick building. Ideal for business trips, family vacations, events, or friends traveling together.
Enormous at over 1600 feet, the space includes a living/dining room, kitchen/bar, gorgeous bedrooms and newly remodeled bath. The open living space and front bedroom feature private walk-out porches near the skyline and the enormous full-size deck off the kitchen/office serves up stunning downtown views.
I'm a student of the local craft cocktail scene, and the kitchen reflects that, with a bar-height counter, an array of glassware and all the tools you'll need to create a Manhattan or Mojito if the mood strikes you.
Please note that the kitchen is fully functional, but minimal (think hotplates and toaster oven instead of a gas stove)—so if you plan to do a lot of cooking, scan my other listings, each of which have kitchens with full-size appliances.
If you'd consider yourself whimsical and want to save a few bucks, ask about the Craft Beer Discount.
You'll have the key code to unit 2, which takes up the entire second floor and is otherwise known as the "Blue Fox." Also, not to be overlooked—the basement laundry room. (If you're staying five nights or more, request a key if needed.)

We may not meet face to face, but I'm typically close by and happy to offer tips and recommendations on the local arts and food scene, especially all things related to indie music, coffee culture, craft cocktails and beer.

I've restored this hundred-year-old building by hand over several years and it's been a labor of love. Act accordingly: Respect. No smoking. No kung fu fighting. No parties. No crazy stuff. Please wash dishes and utensils if you use them, and leave the loft more or less in the condition you found it. KEEP NOISE DOWN after dark, especially on entry and departure, since other travelers share the building. Enjoy your stay responsibly and we'll get along great.
My guests usually have trouble-free stays and nothing but good things to say. Obviously, I want to keep it that way. The single problem that can botch a great experience is another guest in the building who is loud and inconsiderate—especially after 10pm. Yelling, arguing, stomping up the stairs: all common sense stuff that shouldn't happen. Don't be shy about letting me know if another guest is being unruly, so I can deal with it quickly. You'll be doing us both a favor.
I'm fine with a few friends or family spending time in your unit, so long as they understand the House Rules and leave at a reasonable hour. No unbooked folks spending the night, please. Keep things chill. Remember, you're accountable for your guests' actions. Take it upon yourself to keep noise down and standards up, and you're golden.
