A cozy, colorful spot with everything you need to have a peaceful and relaxing vacation.

Please read the entire description of "The Space."

Welcome to our tranquil, sunny, sweet spot in the beautiful Eldorado Springs Valley, just minutes south of Boulder. Gorgeous views and nature surround you, from horses in the pasture next door to the local wildlife, such as deer, fox, and owl.

This special place has its own unique character and all the comforts of home. It is private and very quiet at night. You can see the stars.

The 375 square foot abode has a kitchen with a lovely view, a small gas cooking range, fridge, microwave, and other kitchen essentials. Light cooking is recommended since it's a compact space, and has a small sink too. The bedroom has a queen pillow top bed, dresser, cable TV, DVD player, and a large picture window with a beautiful view from the bed.
The bathroom is quite spacious for a small space, although the shower is a bit smaller than standard size. A living room area has a love seat and a small desk. There is a comfy, foam floor mattress for a third guest. Wireless internet access, with a small patio and parking right in front. Note that the wifi is spotty. It works best in the front; please let us know if you need some help getting online during your stay.

We also have other listings on the property, the Awesome Reinvented Blacksmith Shop (it's in the same building but does not share a wall with the abode), the Eldorado Valley Artist Cabin and the Sunny Eldorado Retreat. It's a fun, relaxed place to stay.

A fantastic trail system is about a mile away, heading west on Eldorado Springs Drive, which you can drive or walk to. Enjoy hiking, running, mountain biking, cross country skiing and snowshoeing, depending on the season. Two miles down the road from here is Eldorado Canyon, which features Eldorado State Park where hiking, world class rock climbing and scenic vistas happen. Also located in the canyon is the Eldorado Springs Pool, a wonderful artesian spring fed pool, so refreshing and fun in the summertime. Downtown Boulder seems a world away, although it is actually a 10 minute drive. There are bike paths all the way into town.

Food shopping is close; King Soopers and Lucky's are about five minutes away. Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, and many other markets are also a short drive into town. At our intersection, a mile away, is the Eldorado Corner Market which includes a gas station/convenience store and a liquor store.

We are both artists and our home and studio are on the property. Feel free to come by anytime during your stay to chat and visit. We know a lot about the area and can help with ideas about things to do. We'd love to have you as our guests!

There are two 'apartments' in the building (they don't share a wall); the abode is the one on the right, nearest to the wooden fence. Remove shoes inside by the front door. Orthopedic shoes can be worn inside. 10 pm to 7 am are quiet hours. No late checkout; I have a four listings and a high volume of reservations. Please ask about having guests over. We stayed for a few days for our honeymoon and this place was great! It was a small, quaint abode that fit my husband, our dog, and me perfectly! The view right out of your window is breathtaking. The neighbors were extremely friendly and it was such a great atmosphere!

Excellent location! Susan is a wonderful host and answered all of my questions very quickly and politely. The Adobe house is really cool! Perfect for a couple or a single. I would definitely book the Adobe house again.

Susan and Tom are wonderful! Susan met us as we arrived and made herself available if we needed assistance during our stay. My boyfriend and I were very active and out and about exploring so we did not get a chance to see Tom and Susan that much, but they left wonderful suggestions! This was out first AirBnB experience and it will be hard to top! Everything was better than we could have imagined, from the view and location, to the privateness of the Abode, which was exactly what we were hoping for. The wifi was a little tricky to use, which we had already expected, but it did not bother us much at all! We will recommend Tom and Susan to all traveling to this area!

We enjoyed our time at Susan's cute & fun - decorative abode. Very clean & cozy and all the comforts of home. A quaint little village feeling and so quiet! Lots of bunny's around and it snowed our first day. 10 mins to town but rural area. Great treat coming from Florida for a long wkend. The Freys.

My boyfriend and I enjoyed our stay at Susan’s. The Abode has amazing Mountain View’s and was a short drive into downtown Boulder. It was also near great hiking spots and about an hour and half to the Rocky Mountains. The abode was clean and had everything that we needed to have a comfortable stay.

Tietoja majoittajasta Susan

I am a self employed artist and have lived in this beautiful valley since 1991, with my husband, Tom, who is a ceramic artist, teacher at a local community college, and a musician.
In the past, we spent a lot of time on the road, doing art shows with our two sons, who grew up here.
I have done a lot of traveling and enjoy meeting people from all over. One of the most memorable experiences of my life was when I lived in Italy for close to a year while I was in college in the early '70's. Part of the time I lived with an Italian family in Tuscany whom I adored. I would love to return there someday.
Some of the things I enjoy are being active in the outdoors and at the gym, cooking fun and healthy foods, growing vegetables and herbs, beekeeping, dancing and playing the cello. I love to read and collect all kinds of books, including novels, non-fiction and cookbooks. One of my favorite books is The Infinite Plan, by Isabel Allende.
We have had visits in our home with many guests from all over through the years, and it has been good times. I have learned to be open to having adventures and being spontaneous. My most memorable times have not involved much planning or expense.
