As this was our second time at Bimbimbie we knew exactly what to expect. Peace and serenity in the bush just half an hour drive from the Adelaide Centre. We love it here and hope to go back again . Thank You Louise for letting us stay in your wonderful sanctuary.

Where do I start? Firstly this was a Valentines Day surprise for my girlfriend, and it couldn't have made her face light up more! Louise greeted us and showed us the accommodation, explaining the history of the place and was there if we needed anything. The Mudbrick Cabin and Studio are just amazing. We loved every single second we were there. Playing board games under candle light with a lovely wine, enjoying a coffee staring out to the bush, waking up to bird calls, having a kangaroo and koala drop by, should I go on? Perfect setting. 5 stars easily! Thanks again, Louise!

My partner and I love this place the serenity and the tranquility, it feels like home away from home. We were greeted with a friendly face and the cosy potbelly stove ready to go. The mud hut us truly unique and has an outback feel to it while the bedroom with ensure is very modern with coffee machine and a good selection of teas. This is the perfect little getaway away from all the city hussle and bustle.

This little gem adds to my short list of phenomenal stays on airbnb. Close to town, but far away enough to feel you're out bush, surrounded by beautiful hills and birdcalls. I loved having the two spaces with charming mudbrick flat and more contemporary sleeping and bathroom space. A nice deck out front where you can have a cuppa and chill out. Would definitely recommend for some rest and relaxation time away.

My partner and I decided to head up to the hills for her birthday and we were very lucky to stumble upon Louise's listing. Louise and her partner were magical and made us feel so welcome, while at the same time providing enough space. The mudbrick cabin was beautiful – great stained glass window, little potbelly stove and great cooking facilities. We spent the weekend wandering around, reading and just relaxing. It was perfect. Louise even left a gift for my partner's birthday, which was so appreciated and nice.

We had a great time at bimbimbie! Such a magical spot. The mud brick cabin was a beautiful place to hang out and we enjoyed breakfast on the veranda in the sunshine listening to the birds. The room was lovely and comfortable, an awesome place for a getaway.

This place ticked all the boxes! The spa and open fireplace made it the perfect escape!

Our stay at Kathy's place was lovely and we really enjoyed it. The location is secluded and a perfect place for spend some days in a calm relaxed way, enjoying the nature and the view of some of the most popular Australia's animals, like Kangaros and koalas. The communication with Kathy was excellent! Everything about the experience was first class, you can find a supply of milk, tea, biscuits and a lovely coffee machine (maybe because I'm italian, but this was a nice surprise for me!). Thank you kathy, we really enjoyed our stay.

Perfect for a cozy quiet getaway

Great rustic hidden gem with everything you need as well as feeling so far from city life! Very quiet at night (for the possums on the roof playing tag ;))

Beautiful cabin interior, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here sitting in front of the fire or relaxing out side in the peace and quite. The host was always very quick to reply and helped when ever I had and questions. Overall a great place to be if you want a quite get away to the hills.

Our Stay at kathy's was awesome. It is a cute little cabin with a beautiful vibe. you can go on nature wolks and see kangaroos arround the property at dusk. Very cosy with everything you need. Our highlight was the big fireplace in the middle of the room. Kathy is great via email as she responds very quickly to meet your needs.

The house was amazing; Great value. Incredibly scenic in the autumn and winter seasons. Perfect for a quiet weekend getaway for couples. A visit to Sterling and the Deviation Road Winery is highly recommended. Kathy provided excellent, prompt communication and answered all questions we had, as well as fantastic hospitality. The Nespresso machine was a very nice addition, too. Using the fireplace and the spa is a must. The master bedroom is very cosy, with ample space within the other rooms within the house. The house design is very rustic and complimentary to the scenery. The only minor issue we had was the unavailability of the electric cooktop, however there is a small outdoor area with a gas barbeque equipped with a side burner. Kathy did provide us with a spare gas cylinder to replace the existing one. She had also left us breakfast for the morning in addition to the noted breakfast provisions. Despite the issue encountered, Curlew Hill Sanctuary is definitely recommended!

What a wonderful and unique place to stay. If you love natural getaways, quiet rest and rejuvenation, and to know that your stay enhances the environment, this ultra sustainable is for you. The natural light and big front windows help you feel like you're connected to outside, and the clever design principles ensure you're always at a comfortable temperature no matter what's happening outside. The attention to detail both in the design and finishes, as well as the nicely stocked breakfast and fresh fruit made for a well considered BnB experience. Marty and Zoe greeted us when we arrived and the tour of the EarthShip enhanced our appreciation of it. Would highly recommend. Thanks guys :)

Amazing place just out of Adelaide ! It is exactly as it's described- super clean and well designed , felt right at Home from the moment we got there ! Hosts were very helpful if we needed them and were very friendly ! Highly recommend the Earthship !!

Stop procrastinating, just book!!! Santorini meets Adelaide hills, strange thought but its true. Theres still a bit of work going on around the place, but the earthship itself is simply divine. Luxury spots to unwind, on the patio or in the green house. Log fire was gorgeous, ample provisions of gourmet goodies were a generous touch. Leave your products at home the toiletries were luxurious. Oh and bird and koala watching while sitting on the loo - haha! - life doesnt get any more blissful. Did not want to leave this gem. Best of all you'll learn a thing or two about this lifestyle you can take back home with you. Seriously, just book it, you wont regret it. And creepy crawlies, meh, you'll be just fine... did i mention the shower??? Seriously amazing. I could go on forever!!!

The Earthship is such a unique concept - you have done an amazing job. I would definitely love to come back and would highly recommend this for a quiet get away.

Its a pretty special place. I feel like poetry might be the best response. Its a precious mix of art and science. Looking forward to watching how the whole space evolves. Oh, and the attention to detail around the BnB experience was lovely too.

Was able to locate the granny flat easily, thanks to the fantastic communication with Lee. Lee and family were able to provide everything a guest could ask for and went above and beyond to guarantee that the guest felt welcomed and comfortable. Certainly recommended for anyone visiting Adelaide who would like to experience the beautiful landscape the area has to offer while only being a stones throw away from the city.

Dit konden wij goed gebruiken na onze deelname aan een Raid door Australie. Locatie ligt wel wat ver van het centrum van Adelaide verwijderd. Kirsten en Marcus geven je alle privacy en staan klaar als je vragen hebt. Kortom wij hebben hier genoten van de rust en privacy.

Kirsten's place is in the Adelaide hills and is a great spot for checking out the South Australian wineries. The place is very well equipped with a small kitchenette. Kirsten had supplied tea, coffee, milk and chocolate as well as shampoo, conditioner, soap etc. Kirsten was an excellent communicator and I would definitely recommend this place.

We stayed 3 nights at Hills Retreat Blackwood. Kirsten and Marcus were so friendly and they provided us everything we needed. The unit was so clean and well equipped with good quality stuffs. The area was so beautiful and hilly with spectacular scenes. If you do care about sustainability and environment, this would be a good place for you to stay and worth money as well. We highly recommend Hill Retreat Blackwood.

Very warm welcome in a quiet peaceful setting, surrounded by trees. Very light airy room well appointed (with chocolate) and lots of information. Loved waking up to the sound of birds and the morning sun streaming in the windows and the sweet air. Will be back.

The space is tucked away behind the main house in a beautifully green part of Adelaide Hills. My partner and I had a very cozy stay inside away from the rain and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a quaint little weekend getaway spot! We only met the hosts when we were leaving but they are very lovely and inviting people. 10/10!

We felt most welcome here. Beautiful surroundings and Kristen was a delight. We had privacy and the property was perfect as described. The neighbourhood is extremely beautiful and safe. Enjoyed walks and is close to all amenities and a short drive to major shopping precincts and CBD. Highly recommend!

Carol was a wonderful host who welcomed us into her home on Christmas Day. The room was perfect for visiting family nearby and Carol made us feel very much at home which is located in a quiet street with koalas living in the trees out back. Adelaide challenged us with 43 degrees so the ceiling fan was very welcome!

Carol was an excellent host. The house was very neat, tidy and comfortable. Carol was very proactive in ensuring the stay was as seamless as possible. Great spot in a quite location very close to a nature reserve.

Wonderful hosts and spacious, well appointed accommodation. Breakfasts were excellent. So much more enjoyable than staying in a nondescript hotel. Beverly and Sam were a lot more professional than some AirBnB hosts. The sea view was an unexpected bonus from the guest lounge.

It is amazing day with lovely Beverly and Sam in their wonderful house. We even don't want to leave. Both of beverly and sam have good taste, they told us so much interesting things. They offer us a big breakfast as well. The house is so amazing and I love it so much, you will see beautiful decorations and furnitures at everywhere even a tiny corner. Thank them so much. The only pity is we just stay for one night here. Highly recommend if your a design lover!

Splendid! Beautiful garden, luxury internal deco, beautiful linen, most of the home deco were hand made by Beverly, even the woodcraft of the grandfather clock. All surprisingly pretty and fine! Breakfast was unexpectedly nice, homemade fresh bread, Jam, yogurt and coffee! Beverly and Sam were very warm and welcoming, showed us the house and provide well prepared tea and milk as refreshment. Make us really feel like home. Location is great, not far from central Adlaide, 20 mins drive, house was very quiet, walkable to some spot lookout spot can oversee the city. Highly recommended to couple and family travellers! Thank you Beverly and Sam for giving us such good experience!

Beverly's house is situated on one of the most beautiful private streets in town. It's quiet and very safe and only about 15 min drive from the water. My friend and I stayed in a private room upstairs with a separate bathroom. The place was clean and felt home-like because the hosts maintain the house as their primary residence. They live downstairs. We also had free wi-fi which was not available in the rooms upstairs but we were able to have it running in the main dining area downstairs. Overall, Beverly's private rooms are very lovely. I would recommend them to anyone who seeks safe and quiet experience.

A true B&B which is not that common today. Wonderful home cooked breakfast and very comfortable living. A couple of days spent at Bev and Sam's home will enrich your lives.

Carmen and her husband were very welcoming and friendly. The apartment was clean and very comfortable. This apartment is a very nice place for a break in the outskirts of Adelaide if you have a car. Watching the sleeping Koala was priceless.

Thank you Carmen for a lovely stay at your studio. It was just as described, quiet and peaceful with a lovely view. The bed was very comfortable and the shower water was hot. The kitchen was simple but sufficient for our needs. The location was convenient to start exploring McLarenVale and the Adelaide Hills. And the neighbourhood is lovely with the Blackwood shops round the corner and many friendly pets! Carmen's communication is excellent, she and her family are very friendly and were extremely helpful in making us feel very comfortable. We would love to stay again if we are ever in Adelaide.

A big thankyou to Carmen, Paul, Lottie and Matilda for making our time away even more special than we thought possible. The cabin was a great location, convenient to our family and shops, most important coffee shops! The cabin had plenty of room and it's such a lovely location in the hills.

We had a fantastic stay at Carmen's studio, she was a lovely host and her family were very helpful during our stay. Even though we were there for business it was quiet after our long day and she let us sleep in on our last day there which we were grateful for. Carmen was a most welcoming and thoughful host. The studio was immaculately clean and the setting peaceful. If you like a place to yourself and have a car, this is ideal. Small but compact, the studio lends itself to a couple who want a quiet break away from the bustle of the city. However, it is close to the pretty town of Blackwood which has 3 major supermarkets and many specialty shops.

We stayed in the studio for 3 nights. Carmen and family were lovely, and the studio was set in a great location in the Adelaide hills (we hired a car so transport wasn't an issue). The studio was well equipped for our needs, clean, quiet and we enjoyed looking out at the garden and view of an evening and morning. There were a few maintenance issues that I'm sure will be addressed before the next guests arrive. Overall it was a nice stay.

This place is so good, it has everything you need and is secluded enough to give you great privacy and a feeling of hills living but it's also so close to shops, public transport and everything else you need. Hannah and Corine are the best hosts, so nice. Even invited me up for dinner on a few nights and made me dinner on another night and brought it down. 5 stars

Nevena's place was absolutely great and we really enjoyed to stay in quiet and private environment. Place was equipped with large tv and another one in the bedroom, full set of kitchen amenities, fast Internet, easy parking, etc. Igor replied in our msgs instantly and was very helpful. We couldn’t have hoped for more and I would highly recommend Nevena’s place to anyone in need for the nice place to stay in Adelaide area.
