  • Swallows 'Flight on täydellinen piilopaikka todella kauniissa paikassa.

Kaiken kaikkiaan hieno paeta ulkomaailmasta!

The barn is nestled in a small hamlet with a handful of houses and makes the perfect base for a spot of isolation. You will be hard pushed to bump into anyone. Get away and soak up our wonderful view over Devon countryside and the fresh air! We take our guests’ health seriously, ensuring every surface is cleaned with disinfectant and we use high water temperatures for all our washing. We also provide cleaning products, soap and hand wash that you can use during your stay.
Our barn is stocked with essential food items as well as an ‘honesty’ mini bar. We also provide logs for the fire, plenty of magazines, books, games, WiFi and a TV. Most guests don’t even need to see or interact with us, the hosts, but only if they wish to, at a safe distance. Our closest village, Stoke Gabriel, is still open for business with a well-stocked village shop offering free food deliveries and The River Shack on the water front of the River Dart is open for al fresco dining and take-away wood-fired pizza. There are countless green lanes, fields, paths, hills, coastal walks and valleys to traipse over with little human contact. We can provide you with a list of all the spots where you can visit. Our place nestles in the small hamlet of Aish above the village of Stoke Gabriel near Totnes. Sit in front of the wood burning stove and peer out of the double height window to the fields and the river Dart beyond. Some mornings, you’ll see our resident male pheasant strutting his stuff on the garden wall. Occasionally, you may also spot a deer or two in the orchard or fields below. We are environmentally minded and do as much as we can to help lower our impact on the planet. Please see below, and our house manual, for a list of our eco credentials. We have used high quality fixtures and fittings throughout. The king sized bed is super comfy. The sofa bed is brand new and is a pull-out version rather than one of those uncomfortable fold out ones! The kitchen has been made bespoke by a local artisan and comes equipped with everything you might need including a full size oven, microwave and a small hob. As the space is small we can't include absolutely everything but please do ask us if you need anything at all! We also leave essentials such as tea, coffee, milk, olive oil, vinegar, salt and pepper ready in the kitchen making it that much easier to relax the minute you arrive. The garden is adjacent to our own but has its own little terrace with a small table and chairs - as well as a BBQ. We have kept the place as uncluttered as possible to allow guests to escape the everyday. However, if there is anything you feel you need please just ask and I'm sure we can provide it! Please note that it is best to have your own transport if staying with us as Aish has no amenities. The closest shop, pubs and restaurants are in the village of Stoke Gabriel which is a 5 minute drive or a 30 minute walk away. We are environmentally minded and do as much as we can to help lower our impact on the planet. Here are a few of the things we do: The barn is run entirely on electricity and therefore uses no fossil fuels. We have a 4kw solar panel system on our roof that helps generate electricity for the barn. For any further electricity we use Bulb Energy, which buys all of its electricity from renewable sources. We use biodegradable bin liners and recycled loo/ kitchen rolls. We use refillable options for cleaning products and washing powders that do not come in plastic. We use entirely organic ingredients in our scones and leave you organic, local milk. The teabags we choose (Clipper) have no plastic in them unlike most teabags. You will find reusable shopping bags for you to use in the kitchen. We provide a water filter so you don't need to buy bottled water. We recycle as much as possible.
A short drive away, nearby Stoke Gabriel is a lively village with a well-stocked village shop, two pubs, a BYO bistro, and a cafe on the waterfront by the Mill Pond. Totnes and all its restaurants, cafes, and shops is also close by car.

  • Täydellinen paikka rauhalliselle rentouttavalle lomailijoille suositella x

    Danielle2019-04-12T00:00:00Z
Kiitos.

  • Meillä oli paljon muutaman yön Orangeryssä. Latoissa on kaikki mitä tarvitset mukavaan ja rentouttavaan oleskeluun, jossa on upeat näkymät. Kylpytynnyri on tällainen bonus, suosittelemme.

    Meg2019-03-31T00:00:00Z

    Amy2019-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • Orangery on täydellinen pultin reikä.

    Ben2019-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Upea majoitus - valtavat lattiasta kattoon ulottuvat ikkunat, jotka näyttävät sinulle parhaan mahdollisen Devonin maaseudun. Comfiest-vuode, jossa on suuri valikoima tyynyjä. Tulee takaisin epäilemättä. Rauhallinen ja rentouttava.

The Hut is ideally situated in South Devon and offers a peaceful rural retreat with close proximity to many Devon beaches and towns.

A 10 minute walk from The Hut up the lane will take you to the main road where you can catch a direct bus to Dartmouth along the stunning coast line passing through Slapton, Strete, Stoke Fleming and Blackpool Sands. At the top of this lane also is the Church House inn – a 13th century former monks’ house with a great selection of food and wines. Other dining options nearby include The Oyster Shack, The Sloop at Bantham, Britannia Shack at Beesands, The Crabshell in Kingsbridge as well as other excellent eating places in Salcombe and Dartmouth. The bed just folds up against the wall to reveal a generous living space with table and benches. The toilet/shower room is plumbed in with a “proper” toilet and shower. The well-equipped kitchen unit incorporates a 2 ring hob, combination oven, microwave and grill, a small fridge and sink, [as well as crockery, cutlery, glasses, toaster, kettle etc.]. Ample parking [a short walk along a path] is provided as is a useful storage shed next to The Hut to maximise your space inside. The Hut now has it's own hot tub, which is perfectly situated to enjoy a tipple whilst enjoying spectacular views across open countryside to Dartmoor. As well as the hot tub, outside The Hut is plenty of space to unwind with lounger chairs, picnic table and chimenea. There is ample room to pitch a tent for additional guests by [small extra cost by arrangement] but please note there are no other toilet or shower facilities available.
This is a beautiful place to live, a gem we found a few years ago and have gradually been transforming into our forever home. We love the combination of privacy with rural living and proximity to the wonderful South Hams places, events and culture. Waking up to gorgeous views, listening to the birds and countryside noises is bliss.

Proudly built with luxury and quirkiness as the top agenda, Tilly's is the perfect place for relaxation and peace. Tilly’s is self contained and set in the courtyard of our farm, situated at the end of a long post and rail, private drive. We live in the farmhouse. Surrounded by our 50 acres and with a large garden for your sole use, (a short walk across the yard) you can be sure of no light pollution, many delightful places to walk and plenty of peace and tranquility. The front door leads into the open plan living room and kitchen. The well-appointed kitchen has an electric oven and Smeg hob (gas), microwave, fridge and freezer. A selection of herbs, stock cubes, seasoning, olive oil, tea, coffee, sugar and kitchen roll will be there to start you off. Also muesli, semi skimmed milk, butter and jam. From the kitchen the staircase leads up to the bedroom and luxury en-suite bathroom which boasts over 100 fibre optic twinkling stars over the roll topped slipper bath. The walk-in shower has oodles of hot water and plenty of space, with quality towels, shampoo, and shower gel. The King size bed is delightfully comfortable; perfect after a day exploring the South Hams. Tilly's has it's own large garden - approximately 10 meters from the front door. There is a covered hot tub (We reserve the right to withdraw / close this facility if there is a mechanical breakdown, severe weather / ice or other issue that makes it deemed unsafe to use) as well as seating and BBQ. Thermostatic central heating throughout. NOTE: Tilly's is extremely popular . . . if your dates are not available, why not check out our other beautiful property - Lofty's which is now available as a one bedroom option for couples (we close off the 2nd bedroom). The nightly price quoted is based on 2 people. It also has its own private hot tub and some fabulously quirky design!
Kingsbridge is just under 5 miles away and the nearest villages (2 miles) are Slapton, East Allington and Blackawton. – each has a traditional village pub. Within 20 minutes you could be at either Dartmouth, Salcombe or one of the many award winning sandy beaches the South Hams has to offer. Dartmoor is less then half an hour from Tilly's - well worth a day out.

  • Colinin talo on erittäin kätevällä paikalla, 5 minuutin kävelymatkan päässä kaupungin keskustasta, rauhallisella kadulla.

A luxurious, rustic haven away from it all. The luxury bits: French linen bedding, robes, soft towels & toiletries, woodburner, a good book, no street lights...You'll probably sleep better than you have in years. The rustic bits: There's a simple compost toilet, hot water in a generous sink and flannels, but no shower.
Our guests often say their stay in the cabin felt like a little pause from the real world. A moment to recharge. We've left it as simple as we can, without foregoing any of the little things that make relaxing time out peaceful and happy. The kitchen is properly equipped, including a fridge and little Belling oven, there's fresh ground coffee, tea, herbs teas, sugar, and a selection of board games, books, and off-the-beaten-track magazines. But our wifi doesn't reach the cabin, and we've not made any attempts to change that. If you do need access to the internet, you are welcome to pop into our house and connect to our network, but we also suspect that you'll be quite glad of the excuse to ignore your emails for a brief moment.
Landscove is a pretty and highly sought-after village in the South Hams. A village hall, a fantastic gastro pub, primary school and church are about the only things that interrupt the organically-farmed fields and Devon lanes, and with no street lights in the area the nights are blissful, and the stars shine bright.
