Sandra's listing is accurate. Her room was clean and neat. The quality of the bed was beyond my expectation, and that was the best bed I have ever experienced with Airbnb. The bathroom was also clean and stocked with various types of toiletries. The optional hot breakfast was delicious and well worth it. Sandra was very friendly and easy to talk to.

I find Airbnb people to be warm and welcoming and Sandra was all that and more. The house was tucked away from the interstate and noise but close enough to get to them quickly. The bed was very comfortable, it would have been easy to oversleep except that Sandra was cooking me a gourmet breakfast! So good! Sandra's home was like being at a good friend's home that wanted to pamper you. Perfect

We weren't able to make it all the way as a snow storm got in the way, but Sandra had very good communication and support, and offered a partial return in consideration. We were really looking forward to meeting her and having breakfast, and look forward to trying a second time in the future!

This is a great find. Sandra is kind and welcoming. Even though I checked in hours late I was still greeted with a smile and homemade cookies! As for the home itself the pictures are accurate; clean, well decorated, and complete with two cats. You would be hard pressed to find another place like this, great value and great stay.

Sandra is a very good host and her home is clean and well set up for visitors. Her downstairs family room/lounge with the fireplace and bar is a great place to hang out. The bed was probably the most comfortable of any Airbnb I have stayed at. The neighborhood is very quiet at night.

The house was beautiful and was the perfect location for us, as it was close to our family. It was in a pleasant wooded area, several miles from downtown Glastonbury and downtown Manchester. Our kids loved the yard, which was filled with all sorts of fun for younger children, including full playgrounds, a child-friendly zipline and a play house. Leslie was truly wonderful, and we enjoyed chatting with her in the mornings and evenings when we were all there. At other times, she was extremely respectful and tried to stay out of the way. This was a great fit for us, and we're very glad we were able to stay here.

Leslie was a fantastic host. She's welcomed me into her home; and treated me as extended family member. I would definitely recommend staying here, especially if you prefer the outdoors and want to be within earshot of the city.

Ms. Leslie is a very sweet and welcoming lady. Her house is beautiful and very clean. I feel right at home here with all the necessities provided. The back yard is a child's dream come true with several play sets, a mini play house, trampoline , sand box, and even a pirate ship! My two year old loves it here and so I do! There is also a big open back porch with several places to sit and relax as well as a grill. It will be perfect for the summertime! We will definitely stay here again in the future and I recommend anyone visiting the area to stay here as well. It's a great location near Hartford and a great price for the quality of living!

This is a lovely place to stay, beautiful environment, quiet and close to everywhere, and the most important, Leslie is really welcoming and had prepared everything that we may need. My parents and I stayed for 3 nights and we all loved her house. There are lots of dolls, Japanese style art and collections, beautiful yard.

My family's stay at Leslie 's lovely home was everything we wanted and more. She responded quickly to our request, accommodated our later arrival time, and even offered us a breakfast of fresh fruit and bagels the next morning. The beds were comfortable, and the bathroom had an ample supply of thick, soft towels. Her house is quite like a museum, and she shared with us some fascinating stories about her career traveling around the world. For our three-year old daughter, the backyard was a fantasy land where she was welcomed to "sail" on the pirate ship, ride on the roller coaster, and "cook" in the fully appointed play house. Her young grandson even joined in on the fun one morning. To make our stay even better, she has two very friendly dogs who were happy to keep us company.

Carolyn's place was perfect. It was clean, well-kept, and cozy. She and her husband were inviting and happy to assist in any way, although we were all set to go from the moment we arrived - the apartment had everything we needed, and it was easy to settle in. Although we spent a good deal of our time out and about, we really enjoyed lounging around as well because of how comfortable and relaxing the place was. Would recommend to anyone!

Carolyn was very welcoming and her barn apartment is indeed charming. The location is very convenient, a short distance off Rt.2 but on a private and very quiet road. Well equipped and clean, the apartment has everything you need. Great stay!

Carolyn and Jim are amazing hosts. They are friendly and accomidating. I came here with my girlfriend to get away from city life and the private, yet accessible space provided us the quiet getaway that we needed. "The Barn" is an amazing space equipped with all the amenidities of a home. There are also little niches around the house where you can enjoy the outdoors - what an amazing setup :)

We absolutely love this place! Carolyn was the perfect host with a warm welcome after a long drive up from New York. Her barn is beautifully presented with plenty of home comforts to make you want for nothing! Set back in the woods you really feel immersed in nature, it's wonderfully secluded and peaceful. Little touches like toiletries and muffins for breakfast were much appreciated as were the tips for local places to eat. We only stayed 3 nights but really miss this place. So glad to have spent our 1st nights here.

Great Cozy space for a nice business retreat.

It was such a lovely and beautiful barn house with a nice big garden, where you can sit under the sun sip your tea and watch the squirrels and rabbits! It was very calming and relaxing to stay at this place. We wish we could have time to stay a few days longer! It could also be the ideal place to stay even longer to accomplish some creative work at this atmosphere!

Very small shower and kitchen, and it's pricey, but the warmth of the hosts make up for it if you are eager to spend your trip with the locals!

Everything was as described and very nice. My wife and father-in-law were visiting the Hartford area to look for houses and our host had two very nice rooms for us that worked perfectly for our trip. We loved the decor in the house and the beautiful yard. We enjoyed being able to talk with our host and even get some great advice as we searched for homes. Our host also gave us plenty of privacy and was flexible when we booked our stay at nearly the last minute.

This was my 3rd stay at Queenie's. All I can say is how quick and amazing they are with there response and stay was wonderful as always. I had a bad experience with another place which I had to leave immediately. And once I did I knew where to go once I had asked Queenie about stay in her home she was so welcoming to have me back and understanding of my situation. She immediately took to action and got everything ready when I gave them 30 mins times before I had made the request and made me feel like I had a place to stay with out questions asked. I can't say enough good things about Queenie and Ted they are great people with a lovely home and if your a Christmas and holiday person this is the place as there home is decked out in Christmas attire you can feel the holiday. Thank you again Queenie and Ted you guys were wonderful and I recommend anyone that is in the area to definitely book a warm and welcoming stay!

The bed is super comfy, and I slept really well. Queenie was nice and welcoming, and her two dogs are too cute.

Queenie was the perfect hostess . Very accommodating . The room was large , clean and nicely appointed. It had its own refrigeration unit and a small microwave. The bed was very comfortable . I had the hallway bathroom all for myself. The two resident dogs very alert and friendly. I would recommend it to anyone driving and traveling the northeast corridor. I wish you Queenie much luck in your future plans and much health and love always.

Queenie was a wonderful, pleasant, and accommodating host with a beautiful, big home just off the beaten path in CT. She made us feel at home right away with her easy-welcoming personality and a brief tour of her house. We stayed in a big room with a big closet, desk, microwave, fridge, and one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept on. Not only would I stay with Queenie again, but I'd be inclined to stop by next time I was in town just to say hi!

Queenie and Ted are warm and welcoming and made me feel completely at home. Their house is clean and neat and very comfortable. Although there's a shared bathroom (which I was hesitant about at first), it worked out fine and I had it pretty much to myself my entire stay. The neighborhood of Glastonbury is absolutely beautiful and was a very convenient location for my meeting in Hartford and my exploration of Glastonbury, Wethersfield, Old Saybrook, Old Lyme and Essex.

Nancy communicated well through out the stay and was happy to give me the privacy I needed for my stay. However, she let me know that if I needed anything to just let her know so she is a great hostess.

Pros: We had a wonderful visit. The building and the space were beautiful. Nancy's place is clean and within walking or short Uber ride from many things. Cons: The parking is street parking. There is a law that we were not aware of - (odd/even) that you need to be aware of. Our parking ticket was $45! The area seemed like you might not want to walk it at night alone. All things considered.... we would recommend this place to stay!

Nancy's place is beautiful and she is a great host- very quick to respond and super helpful. I would recommend her condo to anyone looking for a great place to stay during a business trip. It is centrally located- a quick drive from downtown, shops, and restaurants.

Nancy was super accommodating and the place was very clean. The area wasn't the greatest but the apartments themselves are quiet and very nice. She was very helpful with my apartment search and even drove around the area that I was looking at to give me suggestions and advice.

This was my second stay with Nancy since I loved my first trip so much. She and her husband are incredibly kind though we rarely saw each other due to our schedules. The room was always immaculate with towels, laundry, heating, etc. I will definitely revisit any time I am back in Hartford.
