Tarkira Tree Rainforest Retreat is a modern and simple gallery apartment filled with huge original artworks on wall and canvas, by established Australian artist William Holt. Bordering the pristine rainforest of the Tarra Bulga National Park, the retreat is surrounded by natural beauty. Walk to crystal rivers, waterfalls, fern forest and lush meadow. Come for a simple holiday or enjoy healing sessions during your stay such as reiki, lomilomi and other modalities.
The gallery style retreat house, on the edge of the pristine rainforest, is the perfect place to escape to. It offers both comfort and beauty, is filled with original artwork and surrounded by nature’s tranquility.
The second bedroom has two king single beds, which can be used to sleep two people. However, they are designed to stand side by side to form a large queen size bed for a couple. They make a comfortable and stable bed in this position, however, you can tell that there is a join, unlike a mattress which is manufactured in one entire piece.
Although we run healing retreats at Tarkira Tree you are perfectly welcome to book straight accommodation with no sessions of any kind. If you are interested in the meditation/healing retreats, just contact me with your inquiry.
But, briefly, we specialise in offering truly affordable healing retreats. For $330 per night you can stay in the lovely accommodation and receive 3 private healing sessions with your facilitator, Nullani - one of meditation, one of reiki, and one of counselling/transformation/healing of a particular issue.
USEFUL THINGS TO KNOW -
IMPORTANT NOTE: THERE IS NO MOBILE PHONE RECEPTION IN THE VALLEY, AND ONLY LIMITED SATELLITE WI-FI. If you need to make a phone call you are welcome to use the landline phone in the main house near your retreat house.
Important to note - The Gallery Retreat is set on 2 acres of permaculture/wilderness style gardens. This style of gardening is very different to ordinary gardening and is meant to look natural and wild and to be a haven for birds, insects and wildlife. However, to many this approach looks messy and unnattractive. Hopefully this information helps guests to feel informed and make decisions that suit their own aesthetics.
