This road terminates at the Darby Canyon Trailhead in summer (not sure how far it goes in winter). A popular hiking trailhead that terminates in a waterfall and the Darby Wind Caves.

Avoid soft shoulders on rural roads in winter
For the rural snow-packed roads, drive like a local – in the center of the road unless passing another car. It will help you avoid the soft shoulders that like to suck cars and trucks into snow banks and ditches. Slow and steady wins the snow driving race.
