Walk or bike across this bridge across the Hudson River for some amazing views. The Highland parking lot is around 27 minutes away. Use 87 Haviland Rd., Highland, ny, 12528 in your gps. If you want, once you cross you can even take an elevator down on the Poughkeepsie side and explore on the other side of the Hudson.

If you want, once you cross you can even take an elevator down on the Poughkeepsie side and explore on the other side of the Hudson.
About 27 minutes away. There is a beautiful lake (was filmed in the first episode of The Sinner), with an easy walk around the lake. My favorite hike is Gertrude’s Nose (but hold your kids and/or dogs a little close due to quick drops). If Minnewaska parking lot is full you can continue further on the road and try the Awosting parking lot and Awosting trails.
