It is the oldest temple in Tokyo where five-storied pagoda and hexagon temple are built around the main hall. Honbun is Kansei Bodhisattva, known as "Kannon-sama" and familiar to people. As the name of "Asakusa Kannon", it is familiar to people all over the country nationwide, and about 30 million pilgrims visit each year. Also, the garden of the Legendary Hospital, the main boulevard of Asakusa, is a beautiful garden designated as the scenic spot of the country in 2011.
