Our all-time favourite for a small meal. The building is from the 1700s; the bar was reopened 40 years ago by a blues-fan, and now his children have taken over his work.
The menu is limited but budget-friendly and delicious. They serve a great variety of good Belgian beers, with the needed advice. This is the one place we absolutely recommend if you are looking for something authentic...

Literally: the Lost Corner... A part of town that is forgotten about by locals as well as by visitors. Beautiful though: the windmills, the museum of Guido Gezelle with its beautiful inner garden.

Beautiful village, 5 kilometres from Bruges. It has buildings in the same style, but it is much smaller than Bruges.
It is lovely cycling there and back, by the canal, or taking the slow boat Lamme Goedzak.
