The Chapel of San Dimitri is a small rural Roma Catholic church located in Gharb. This is the only church in Malta dedicated to this Greek Saint. It is within short walking distance of Molendini Farmhouse.

From the terrace overlooking the pool area at Molendini Farmhouse, one can see Gordan Lighthouse off in the distance in the next village. Ta' Gordan Lighthouse is an active lighthouse and is found on a hill above the village of Ghasri on the northern coast of Gozo.

From the terrace overlooking the pool area at Molendini Farmhouse, one can see Gordan Lighthouse off in the distance in the next village. Ta' Gordan Lighthouse is an active lighthouse and is found on a hill above the village of Ghasri on the northern coast of Gozo.

Wied il-Mielah ( directly translating to Valley of Salt) boasts a limestone natural arch. It is located in the north of the village of Gharb. It is a lovely walk/hike from Molendini Farmhouse.

Wied il-Mielah ( directly translating to Valley of Salt) boasts a limestone natural arch. It is located in the north of the village of Gharb. It is a lovely walk/hike from Molendini Farmhouse.
A lovely hike from Molendini Farmhouse can take you to the village of San Lawrenz and on to Dwejra where the Azzure Window was once located. Another geological phenomenon in this local is a deep blue void created by a collapsed underwater limestone cave referred to as the 'Blue Hole'. It is accessible to divers, but can be seem from the rocky beach above also.
In the same area one finds Dweja's inlet sea also worth a visit.

Gharb means 'west' in Arabic (Garbo), so it should be no surprise that the village is the most westerly place on Gozo. There are a number of cultural activities in the village centre all year round. To learn more about the history of the village, you can visit the privately owned Gharb Folklore Museum. This is a unique early 18th century village house with 28 rooms full of historic objects associated with Gozo's traditional trades, crafts and passtimes.
