The Society is a not-for-profit organization and maintains a Visitor and Art Trail Center and the Ulster and Delaware train depot in Haines Falls. Check their hours (unfortunately the society center is closed December-March).

This is one of those grand dining rooms that’s attached to a resort that was probably a big deal when the Soviet Union was still around. Since you’re staying at this house, you won’t care that the rooms at the Villa Vosilla have glitter popcorn ceilings. The food is good with even better service. Call ahead, not because they will run out of tables, but because they aren’t always open.

Everything here is good. Seriously. And everyone knows it so you will need a reservation. You’ll have to actually call because the mountains haven’t discovered Open Table. :-p
