Before going around Førde is situated in Sogn og Fjordane and the area has fantastic scenery and a walk in the surrounding area gives you beautiful views of mountains, fjords and glaciers. In the vicinity you will find more than 100 lakes and 10 rivers, all with large fish stocks that attract thousands of anglers every year. The area is rich in water and while you are here, it is worthwhile to bring along the Huldefossen waterfall, which is just outside Førde. This waterfall is a large natural attraction and one of the most photographed waterfalls in Fjord Norway. The liquorice is another attraction - get close to the water forces by taking a walk over the resilient steel bridge. After the bridge it is possible to follow the waterfall path that runs along the protected Gaular watercourse. To the fjords, both Norwegian and foreign tourists come to admire the view, but also to experience a holiday that invites activity. If you want to go up the mountains, there are lots of hiking trails, both on the mountainsides and on any glaciers. If you want to get in close contact with the water, kayaking is highly recommended.
