Brew Toon is a local micro brewery with individual craft beers and all your other normal drinks. You can ask for samples of which ever beer you think you may like and you sit and enjoy a sharing platter and other homemade food. There are various events and live music also. Please check for dates and times on their facebook page. Brew Dog is another local brewery with craft beers and at the moment they are only serving home made pizza which they make to order. The Palace Hotel has a dining room upstairs with lovely locally caught fish and seafood along with other bar food and restaurant meals too which are served in the front room. There is also live music on a Friday and Saturday Evenings. Their Sunday lunch carvery is also very good. The Albert Hotel is a lovely homely place where you can get freshly prepared local food at lunchtime and in the evenings. Although booking is recommended. They have a nice conservatory at the front to sit or just for a drink in the cosy bar. Their menu is varied and has exceptional reviews. Cross Keys is a weatherspoons pub which serves affordable food all day up till 10pm. Nice atmosphere where it is quiet as no music played here for encouraging conversation. which is always a good thing. The Waverley Hotel serve food between 12-2.30pm and then again in the evenings at 5-10pm. Their food is pretty decent and affordable for anytime of the day.
