Henk's is a wonderful brunch location. Think cute, old time diner. I do believe they stop serving brunch at 10am though; so get up early and make sure you do not miss it. Great quantity, price and taste of food.

I know. I know. It is quite the drive considering we have a billion other brunch options in Dallas but I have to tell you it is worth every second it takes you to get there. The biscuits and gravy are amazing!! I think I have had just about everything on the menu; select any item, you will not be disappointed.

This is my favorite location in Dallas to run. It is 9.3 miles around the lake-a new sight at every turn. White Rock Lake is also a great place to go for an easy stroll or even a kayaking adventure. (They rent kayaks at the lake- highly recommended.) White Rock also has a dog park, multiple play grounds, and numerous places to host barbecues. Often, if the season is right, White Rock will have concerts in the park

This is known as Texas' biggest honkie-tonk. It is an experience to be had if you are visiting Texas. Side note: if you want to go dancing, as in two-stepping, Billy Bob's has a small dance floor; so it would not be my first choice. However, if it is the weekend, there will probably be a live country concert. Hit the dance floor and dance to country tunes-again, an experience to be had while in Texas.
