Botanical Gardens adjacent to the University. It's a lovely stroll and the species are well-marked. There is a great website that highlights certain plant species and lists what's in bloom before you get there. The walk through the gardens is easy and interesting, and a gorgeous creek runs throughout. It's a nice way to stretch your legs.

Just the drive alone is worth it. It's a scenic ride through gorgeous hollows to arrive at an adorable general store that has tons of charms, local crafts and good food. There is a pamphlet tucked inside the house manual to look through.

What Hot Springs is named for... this is the place to go in town to relax and rewind in every season! The tubs have spring water pumped right in, pure, no chemicals. Each tub is private with a view of the grounds. It's amazingly relaxing.

The Gatehouse is a great jumping off point to the AT because the town of Hot Springs is just up the road! There are shuttles from the trail, or just park in town and make your way for a classic day hike up Lover's Leap.
