Gozo is our smaller island further up from Malta. You can easily reach it as it is only 10 minutes car drive or bus drive away to Cirkewwa, the village from where you board the ferry to Gozo for about 20 minutes. Gozo is pretty and well kept and is said to be greener than Malta. It is definitely quieter and less busy. Places worth Visiting are Xlendi Bay, Marsalforn Bay, Ta' Pinu Basilica Church, the Cittadella in Victoria Gozo, Ta' Ninu's Cave. You can do it in one day by going early at 8am, and get a Hop On Hop Off Bus as soon as you come off the Gozo ferry and it will take you around the most interesting places for about €20 per person. Then you can come back home with a late ferry crossing back to Malta later on in the evening.

Cliffs from which you get to see our little island of "Filfla". Dingli is also close to Buskett Gardens in Rabat if you want to get some picnic lunch under the trees.

Mediaeval Temples said to be older than the Pyramids of Egypt. Would recommend doing this tour with the Blue Grotto in Zurrieq as they are close to each other.

Boating Oh Yeah
You should definitely take a boat trip either on the Oh Yearh Boat or any others you will find along the pier in Mellieha Bay, just 5 minutes walk away from your apartment. These will take you to see the Blue Lagoon in Comino, the Crystal Waters of Comino, and also organize BBQ nights on the boat once weekly.

Mdina
Historic City of the Mediaeval Times. A must see with narrow cobbled, and winding streets. An interesting Cafeteria with lots of fine gateaux is the Fontanella. Look it out! You need to walk around the city as no cars are allowed in.

Valletta
Important places in Valletta are: St John's Co-Cathedral which is SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL from inside. No heels can be worn here. The Archaeological Museum in Valletta is also interesting. You must visit Upper Barracca Gardens especially between 11:30 a, and 12:00 Noon to see the Salute Battery and enjoy a good view of our beautiful Grand Harbour with its fortifications and bastions. Also some clothes shops in Republic Street and Merchant Street for the ladies.

Mosta Dome Church
You should visit the Church early in the morning at about 8am as it soon closes its doors after the morning mass. It is interesting for its lovely facade, and also for the historical fact that a bomb that was thrown over the church in World War II did not blow up and can still be visible there to this day. It is ideal to go there on a Monday morning (8am to 11 am) so as not to miss the Open Air Market with lots of cheap clothes and food to buy for little money. Mosta is less than 30 minutes bus drive away from our apartment in Mellieha Bay.

Rabat
Rabat is very historical and is only a few minutes walk outside Mdina gate so you can see both Rabat and Mdina on the same day. Rabat has interesting St. Paul's Catacombs to be seen, and also a Roman Villa, the Domus Romana.
