A 2,400-hectare area of ancient woodland between Epping in Essex to the north. It has old growth forest, walking trails, rivers & ponds.
You can grab a taxi and start/finish at the Kings Oak hotel (IG10 4AE) for lunch after a lovely morning walk/hike.

Great green space for leisurely walks only a 10 minute walk away. With formal gardens, lakes and landscaped parkland, as well as plenty tennis courts. It also hosts a Gardener’s Cottage Café which is a nice place to sit and relax with a cup of tea/coffee in the summer.
