Noah’s Ark is an Animal Sanctuary located about 25 minutes from the house. If you love animals, see these beautiful creatures up close and personal. Some you can even feed and touch. They offer a walking tour for $75 per person. (Check Groupon for great discount first.)
You can take your lunch and enjoy it at one of the tables in the seating area. It’s not overcrowded and it gives you a new perspective on the treatment of animals. Each of their animals were once in dire need of proper care or abandoned by their owner.

Breakfast and lunch is served at Gritz. It’s one of my favorite places. The customer service is always great and the French toast is always delicious!

Traveling locally
I’d recommend having your own car or rental, if you drive. Uber or Lyft may take a little longer than you want to wait. Also be mindful of early morning traffic and afternoon, after work traffic. The roads can get a little congested. Be careful!
