Since Austin is the capital of Texas I always recommend everyone to tour the capital. It is the largest state capital building in the United States and it is even taller than the state capital building in DC. As they say, everything in Texas is bigger.

You can park your car nearby and walk up one of the cliff fronts which provides a beautiful view of the bridge and the Colorado River. This activity only takes 30 minutes.

Donut burger!!! I take all my friends here when they visit Austin. One would think having a donut as a bun would be a terrible combination but it actually works very well! Highly recommend ordering the "Double Ds burger!"

One of my favorite go-to sushi restaurants in Austin. They have a great happy hour menu full of awesome drinks and sushi. They are located in the heart of downtown and is easy access to the nightlife after a drinks/sushi.

If you are looking for a high-end sushi restaurant I would always recommend Uchi. It is pricey but the quality is top-notch.
