If you’re curious, you like being a part of the art scene, and you’re passionate about the contemporary, you can’t miss this place! The Medellin Modern Art Museum is a place where you can truly experience some culture.
The Modern Art Museum of Medellin is an architectural wonder itself. This place dedicated to art is located in Ciudad del Rio, a park full of nature. The museum is open all week, although the hours vary depending on whether it’s a holiday or a work day.
Aside from the art exhibits, this museum offers additional spaces to enjoy such as the study room, which is suitable for reading, studying, or working. This room also has a library, an archive, and an online catalog with helpful tools. The MAMM also offers spaces for rent such as social event rooms, laboratory-type rooms, and a mezzanine for meetings.
And, last but not least, there’s the square outside the museum, where families, children, and groups of friends can relax in the sun. Plus, if you don’t want to watch movies from home and would rather get the classic movie experience, you can check out the Cine MAMM theater.

Guatape town is one of the most famous tourist spots in Colombia. It is located just outside Medellin (around 2 hours drive). It is a charming little town on a huge reservoir, full of colorful buildings that line cute streets, and a granite rock with 659 steps that you can climb and it is certainly known for the surrounding turquoise lake and beautiful scenery.
El Peñol-Guatapé, Guatapé, Antioquia, Kolumbia
Guatape town is one of the most famous tourist spots in Colombia. It is located just outside Medellin (around 2 hours drive). It is a charming little town on a huge reservoir, full of colorful buildings that line cute streets, and a granite rock with 659 steps that you can climb and it is certainly known for the surrounding turquoise lake and beautiful scenery.
Built between 1887 and 1895, the wooden Western Bridge, which is suspended over the Cauca River, welcomes visitors to Santa Fe de Antioquia, a Colombian Heritage Village founded on December 4, 1541 by Jorge Robledo and considered the “cradle of the paisa (Antioqueño) people.” This town of cobblestone streets and colonial architecture lies 35 miles northwest of Medellín.

The metro system is the fastest way to travel
When traffic is at its heaviest, I highly suggest to use the Metro. For your convenience, you'll find a metro 'civica card' in the apartment, which allows you to travel along the metro system.

Don't miss the farmer's market or the biking/jogging circuit
•Every Sunday, some avenues are closed for traffic, so people can go biking and jogging. There are two main circuits; one located in Estadio and the second one in El Poblado, which starts in Premium Plaza Mall and goes all the way to Envigado municipality through Av. El Poblado
•Farmer’s market: On Saturday and Sunday, you’ll find first-hand fresh products, crafts and more! Located in some squares such as: Pilarica, Laureles, Parques del Río, Ciudad del Río, or La Presidenta
