A great little bakery at the very end of the row of shops along Sheridan Street but still only about 300 meters away. Open early in the morning. Great pies and fresh cakes and buns.

Chinese Take Away - the best little Chinese take away we've found in the 5 years we have been in Cairns. Good value and great tasting and ready very quickly. No delivery. About 700 meters away.

You would not really call it a restaurant but for take away pizza (or delivered) it is close by and they often have daily specials. Open late. An alternative is Pedro's Pizza a bit further along.

Again, not really a restaurant but they do have some tables and chairs out the front where you can sit and eat. Better than Pizza Hut but then you pay more for them. Also Spare Ribs and Pasta

Located at the northern end of the Esplanade, Muddy's is a great place to take the kids. Playground equipment and 'wet' areas where they can play for hours, plus a Cafe with food and good coffee!
