A day out to Dornoch and the surrounding area is great. Lovely beaches, fairly-tale castle, star spotting by the famous Skibo Caslte and a beautiful cathedral.

Although there has been a castle in Inverness since the 11th century, the present day castle is much more recent (circa 1848) after is was destroyed by the Jacobite army. Nice views but no entry.

A great place to view our local bottlenose dolphins, the most northerly pod! These guys are the biggest of their species and worth a look, (if you're lucky!)

Some call it a health&safety risk and others love it...You decide as it's only a 10 minute walk away with a scaled model of the titanic. It's someone's passion, not a museum so don't expect too much!

A unique looking castle in Scotland! Well worth a visit even just to see it. There is a fee to enter it but I thought it was worth the money.
