Despite the name, this is not a touristy place. The bar is very reasonably priced and busy with local youth and families in the evening. Aperitivo (a drink with light snacks typically enjoyed between 6.30 and 7.30 PM) from € 4.50, sitting right by the shores of Lake Maggiore. Freshly-prepared snacks and a choice of cocktails and soft drinks. Parking available nearby along the road.

Stunning 14th century hermitage built on a high cliff along Lake Maggiore. The hermitage can be reached walking down 268 steps along the cliff with spectacular views. Plants such as lavender, rosemary and olives can be admired along the way. The hermitage itself features several layers of frescoes and a shop selling personal care products manufactures by the monks of Santa Caterina and other hermitages (honey, soap, liquor, etc).
An elevator is available for anyone who prefers not to walk down the steps: €1 per person.
