Even better, they are one of the first and only restaurants offering a true living wage and good benefits to their employees, plus they grow a lot of their veggies on their roof. Great spot for kids from 5PM-7PM, or dates from 7PM-close.

This place is AMAZING. It only opens at 10AM, which is too bad, but we forgive them because their food is so good. Wonderful sweet and savory offerings, and always a good place to pick up a whole pie or cake for an event.

Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens
1 Schenley DriveKnown for its fantastic Wooden Playground, this is a great place for kids, or just nice walks and chill picnics. Good street and (very short) trail running. There is a pool, volleyball courts, and smaller playground scattered through the park.

Frick Park has great mountain biking trails that are also good for running, just be aware that you're sharing the space. If single-track trail running isn't your thing, just stay on the wide paved and/or packed-dirt trails that course through the park. There's a fantastic "Blue slide park" that features a fast concrete slide that you ride down on cardboard (usually there's plenty sitting around), plus other fantastic built-in park-ey features.
