Stay in a 1960s, one of a kind Railway Carriage nestled within a peaceful wildlife refuge with a natural wood-fired hot tub. Our lovingly restored train carriage is located within our picturesque 270 acre family farm in Oakview, just 80 minutes from Noosa & 15 minutes from Kilkivan. Enjoy stunning forest & mountain views, modern ammenities, a fire pit, private access to a winding stream perfect for swimming, exploring & kayaking, and a nature walking trail spanning over 10 acres.

Mary River farm cottage

The Cottage has one bedroom with a queen bed, a sofa bed, a bathroom and a small kitchen, with a gas BBQ on verandah. Its suitable for a small family. It has Air-con. The farm has a herd of cows and some cultivated fields. There is a kilometer of Mary River frontage with bird, rare lungfish, frogs and platypus. There are large areas of scenic bush walking. Our place is dog friendly, but prefer the dog to stay outside in the secure enclosure on verandah.

Start the day with a fresh coffee made at Soma Soma just over the train tracks from the Historic Mary Valley Rattler. You could grab a ticket on the train to enjoy a scenic trip through the hills of Gympie Region or take a walk down to the town that saved Queensland. Whatever you find yourself doing for the day you can return home to enjoy the sunset on a private deck and a movie streamed direct to your living room TV.
